Ugh. What a joke
by misterguy on 10/26/2007I started negotiating with Byers via email, and pitched them a price for an 05 RAV4 they had in stock. Here, verbatim, is the charming response I received from Emery Bear at Byers: I gave you my best price. It cost a dealer $1500.00 to… sell a car, over the ivoice, now why would I want to lose any more money. I have been up fromt with you from the beginning, either you want the Rav4 or not...if you love to play games you need to find another dealer and start at MSRP. By the way Edmunds says you should pay a profit, TMV, are you willing to do that?? Emery After this, I emailed Byers half a dozen times, complaining about their salesman's rudeness. They never once responded. You'd think they could have at least apologized and/or tried to salvage their reputation. Also, not surprisingly, I never again heard from my salesman, the illustrious Emery Bear.Excellent buying experience
by jweinhardt on 09/13/2007After having negative experiences trying to buy a RAV4 at a couple of Toyota dealerships in Columbus, I called Byers Delaware and asked about their inventory. I spoke with Mike Ohler. He patiently described the units he had in stock.… They had one that was what I wanted. When I asked him about the price, he not only gave me the list price, but also quoted a very competitive purchase price over the phone. I knew it was competitive after having spoken to 2 other dealerships and also having researched TMV pricing on Edmunds. He invited me to test drive the next day. I showed up to do the test drive, expecting that he would change the price, but he stuck by it. The whole experience was positive from beginning to end. I would buy from Byers again.Good buying experience
by luv_cars on 08/18/2007Recently purchased an 07 Sienna at this dealership. It was a good experience. I asked for an internet quote and got one within three hours. Went to the dealership and they honored it without hidden fees and games. Other Toyota… dealerships around town were a joke - didn't give quotes, danced when asked direct questions, and one wouldn't let me leave without a hard sell even when I told them I wasn't buying that day. Byers in contrast was much more professional and upfront. My saleman was Gary Buckley and I highly recommend him.Completely satisfied.

Excellent service and willingness to focus on the customer above all else made them… stand out among other dealerships. John was very knowledgeable about all of the cars we looked at and provided more information than I could find online in reviews. He also had the no-nonsense approach to car buying that I was looking for.I Found Heaven on Earth
by theshortlady on 12/23/2012updated 04/26/2025My 2008 Yaris Hatchback was going to be my last car ever - it had so many good things like the cup holder up on the dash so I couldn't spill it reaching down, and it had all the gauges in the middle of the console instead of behind the… steering wheel. However, I got an email from Steve H. from the internet department, who suggested that I might get a good deal at this time if I were to trade in for a newer model at this time. He told me to call Steven S. who said they had a silver Yaris is stock, so I went over and got the royal treatment. The 2012 had several improvements that outweighed the loss of my 2008. The main thing was a 5-speed manual transmission (I had to settle for the automatic 2008 because no manuals available). Curt K. handled the paperwork and was so down-to-earth that I felt I was with an old friend, and when I went through the service area Jameson C. asked if I wanted to make an appointment for the first checkup. This experience has confirmed once more that the only place I will ever go for sales or service is Byers Toyota of Delaware, Ohio.Awesome all the way around.

I don't know you, but by they way you write, I'd say that most people treat you like crap becaus you seem like a jerk. Every experience I've had with Byers has been positive.
