Honda Passport issues
by Jim on 07/18/2023This is my first Honda and I've had nothing but problems so far. It has 6500+ miles on it and has been back to the dealership twice for emission problems. Both times it was repaired under warranty. We took this same car in for an oil… change at 5000+ miles and experienced a leak afterwards. Apparently there was a burr where the oil filter attaches and the gasket would not seal properly. The leak was corrected and I cleaned up the oil from my garage floor. We also had this Passport in the shop several times because of a rattle in the rear wheel area. The service department insisted there wasn't a problem and had it not been for the perseverance of the service foreman, the loose parking brake cable would still be rattling. We really don't blame Germain Honda for the problems but so far, we're not a happy Honda owner!Jim, we thank you for your business and feedback. Our team is disappointed to learn that you have experienced frustrations and concerns with your first Honda ownership experience. We are happy to know that our shop foreman persevered until he was able to resolve the rattling noise and your concerns have been addressed. Eliza was great!
by Rose on 07/13/2023Eliza was professional, polite and very helpful. No one wants to take a vehicle in for repairs but it’s easier with a good service person on hand. I’m not happy, however, that I’ve had to take my 2023 Passport in for repairs. The “o” came… off the name plate, and the rear trim panel had to be replaced and the backup camera is now damaged. I have no idea how this rear-trim panel cracked since there was no evidence of any collision. I certainly expected the trim and camera to be a lot tougher than this. Whatever caused the trim to crack was the result of minimal force because there was no collision damage at all. There’s also a recall on the Passport which is another annoyance.Rose, thank you for your business and for taking the time to share your positive experience with Eliza. Above and beyond
by AW on 06/22/2023I originally went in for a problem with the auto engine idle that was covered under warranty. While the rep, Steve Barnard, was taking the vehicle info at my driver's window, he noticed another check engine light and identified that it was… a problem with fuel injectors and sensors. Our vehicle was used and I had been expecting this to be a major repair, but Steve told me it was also covered under warranty. So, two important issues were taken care of under warranty. Steve also recommended other optional services like fluid exchanges but wasn't pushy about it. I really respect that he caught that second problem on the fly and got it taken care of.Thanks so much, AW! We sincerely appreciate your business and your kind feedback on Steve.
