    Best car purchase experience ever! I worked with Shea S. at Wagner Subaru and I highly recommend him to everyone reading this. He is smart, professional, efficient, an excellent communicator, and knows every detail about Subaru vehicles. He also handled the finance portion seamlessly. I had expressed interest in a 2025 Subaru Outback that was in transit. Shea called me when it arrived. We scheduled an appointment for the next day and I drove my new car home about an hour later.

    All personnel, particularly our sales person Oliver Jay, worked hard to get the vehicle we were interested in purchasing. He was able to engineer a vehicle trade to secure that vehicle within 48 hours.

    I had an awesome experience buying my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited at Wagner Subaru in Fairborn, Ohio. This was my first vehicle purchase since 2017, and a lot has changed. The process involved supply chain constraints, inflated MSRPs, limited negotiations, incentives, and new vehicle technologies. I spent over two months researching various manufacturers and test-driving eight different models. My past experiences with dealerships gave me a lot of anxiety. I wanted to avoid dealerships altogether and do everything online or through a concierge service. However, I ended up choosing Wagner Subaru and the Crosstrek for its impressive value, features, and great gas mileage. The car specialist at Wagner was knowledgeable, honest, and great to work with. My research aligned with everything he told me. The selling price was competitive, and they honored my Costco membership discount. This was also my first lease, and the terms were fully disclosed, competitive, and transparent. I never thought I'd say this about buying a vehicle from a dealership, but the entire process was painless, stress-free, and transparent! As a customer and an automotive investor, I highly urge other dealerships to scrutinize Subaru's customer experience and adopt it as an industry best practice or risk going the way of the dinosaurs!

    Very professional. Went through for Express service, oil/ filter change and tire rotation. Total time - ~40 minutes. Tech service personnel spent the time to discuss the service inspection report.

    very low pressure sales push. lee answered all my questions & I am very pleased with the car!! It has a smooth ride and good feel to it. Cant wwait to play in the snow!! I have dealt with Wagner Subaru since 2012 & would highly reccomend them to anyone!!

  • Expensive Gas cap needed to be replaced

    $83.00 is a lot to let me know that my gas cap needs to be replaced, & that was supposedly 1/2 price. On this type of Diagnosis a flat charge of say $50.00 would be reasonable.

    My late wife was the first to buy from Wagner. She bought a first generation Forester. It served us past its sell-by date (there isn't one, actually). It took our family out West when most car buyers would have driven something newer! It also took me to work on winter days when I just couldn't trust my RWD Mercedes sedan with winter tires. Anyway, We've had a bunch of Subies since then. We live in the little Ohio town of Yellow Springs, and I call Subaru the unofficial official car brand of the town (there are so many) — and I'd say it was because of Wagner! I feel that Subaru has replaced Volvo as the "safety" brand — what with Volvo going upscale.

    Having had a Forester previously for 10 years, it was time to hand it down and get a new one. Loved the first one and love this one as well. The only thing I have to get used to is the touch screen console. The sales experience was great as well. No high pressure.

    First time I've made a purchase this big solo. I thought I'd miss having a second perspective, second brain...but in fact, Shea was all that AND a bag of chips! I did my homework prior and felt confident in the questions I asked and felt the responses Shea gave showed a depth and breadth of knowledge, patience, understanding, and kindness. He was my 2nd brain! A fantastic all around experience.

  • Fixed the problem

    Came into the dealership telling them specifically that I needed a new a/c compressor, and mistakenly assumed they'd just do it. Instead they took it apart and apparently stood around for several hours discussing how to tell me other parts would need to be replaced as well in order to ensure the repair was complete!!! I don't care. Do it. When they finally came to discuss it with me, I summarily dispatched them back to finish the job and basically told them they had wasted enough time. By the time I left, I had been there 5 hours!!! I know it doesn't take 5 hours to replace an a/c compressor. Then, I got stuck on the side of the road because they had allowed something in to my air intake when they put the air filter back in, and choked off the air to my engine. They sent someoen with no tools to check it out, they sent one of them back to the dealership back to get a screwdriver, and in a matter of minutes I was back on my way. I've never had this kind of issue with them before, but this experience did not give me a warm fuzzy, that's for sure.

    The wheel bearing was diagnosed and replaced in a timely manner, and we agreed on the cost prior to the repair. What should NOT have been the case, though, is that at 71,000 miles this was the second wheel bearing that failed (the first one, at 30,000 miles!). But that's not a fault of this dealership, with whom I've done business for almost 20 years.
