Dishonoriable Dealership - 2007 Honda Accord
by sugnesh23 on 09/14/2007I am very disappointed the way I was treated at the dealership. I learned that they don't keep their promise. When Chuck Poltkin called me he offered me $20,800. When I visited their dealership they changed that number on me and asked me… for $21,500. Chuck's manager Dave offered $21,000 which we agree to and then he also changed the price instantly. Chuck told me the first time i visited the dealership that if a dealer makes a deal with the customer the dealership honors the offer and doesn't go back on there word. Dave did just that go back on his word. When i told Dave about what Chuck said, he told me my word changes every minute. Honor in keeping there word means nothing to them and i would highly recommend you don't but a car from Sloane Honda. But if you absolutely had to deal at that dealership i would recommend avoiding dealing with Chuck or Dave.Maybe your credit wasn't right and that's the reason the price changed.

by curly1954 on 03/26/2013updated 04/29/2025I saw glen as my salesman he was new and it showed he saw my car 2007 crv that I wanted to trade in it had 125,000 miles and it was well kept he had me waiting for hrs and he couldn't tell me what my trade will be of if I was approved for a… loan. I left and came back but I went to my credit union and was approved in five minutes I went in and asked glen if I was approved and he said not yet I had a check from my credit union but glen did not want to hear that he called in the financial guy and he asked me if I was happy and I said no he told me if glen would of came to him I would of known if I was approved in five minutes well the financial mgr handled my sale I was approved for 1.9 percent and I drove away with the car I wanted not what the salesman wanted to offer meThank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Does not Honor their commitment

Since it was last day of month, I was told to pay some upfront money to hold the deal. by lithnights on 11/04/2011updated 04/29/2025I solicited a dozen local Honda dealerships over the internet, asking for their best price on a 2012 Odyssey. One of their internet sales managers replied quickly with a great price. After all the other replies, it was the best price. I… asked for the out the door price, and they were very clear on each price (sales tax, TTL etc.). Even though it was right around invoice (for a 2012 that just got on the lots!), I asked them to come down another $200. After some resistance, they agreed. The next day we went to the dealership, and were in and out in an hour. He gave us a walkthrough of the vehicle, then handed us off to financing. Financing pushed (obviously) the warranties and coverages, but not too hard, which was nice. All in all, a great experience, but maybe I'm biased b/c they gave such a great upfront price, and played NO games. It's my first real new car purchase (always buy preowned via private party), and it went great.Good experience

Only issue was my mechanic told me the truck needed new driver side ball joints (upper and lower), and… should have never been sold without being fixed (safety reasons) I called sloane and they replaced both ball joints under warranty. 3 months later truck still running strong. Sloane Honda's Great Pricing

I asked them to give me their best price, not a price I got from another dealer...Sloane was the best price for my 2007 trade-in and the best price for my 2013 Accord and they gave me locking lugs, floor mats and free oil changes and state inspection..Dear Joe, firstly we would like to thank you for choosing us to purchase your new Accord! The best part of this experience was my dealings with the Finance Manager. Matt L (finance manager) was absolutely AWESOME! He really worked hard to find me the best interest rates and recommended several finance options. In my experience, the closing paperwork is the most stressful part when buying a new car. Watch For Service Ripoff
by rgud on 08/04/2013updated 04/29/2025Took my car in for service May 8th after the mechanic I have been going to for 30 years could not correct a TPMS problem. I received a call hours later telling me all 4 tire sensors were bad and needed replacing. I called my mechanic and… was informed 2 of the sensors were replaced in October 2012 when the problem started. He further stated the sensors were purchased from Sloane and had a one year gaurantee. I called Ian (or Ethan) back telling him I would pay for the installation of all 4 sensors but would only pay for 2 sensors since 2 were still under warranty. He said he would "have to look into it" and call me back. 2 hours later he called back telling me miraculously now only one sensor needed replacing. Naturally it was not one of the sensors installed in October.The one sensor and programing cost over $200. If I hadn't questioned the original call I guess I would have been ripped off to the tune of almost $700. A few days later I received a survey. I included the above information. About 7 weeks ago I received an email from Mr. V reminding me of additional service I needed. I did not include the details from my visit but replied I would never set foot in his dealership again. I never got a response from the survey or email. About a month ago I posted a review on dealerrater.com. Again they did not respond although all of the positive reviews were acknowledged by a Sloane customer representative the day after they were posted. It's obvious they do not want deal with you after they get caught trying to rip you off. Insult has been added to injury. On Sunday June 23 the TPMS light went on and off a couple of times. It went back on again on June 25th and is still on. I have ZERO confidence in Sloane and deciding what my next move will be.Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.
