  • Poor Service Repair and Customer Service

    Dustin short and seemed disinterested in my concerns. My window and lock needed repairs and now my speaker in that same door rattles. I paid $650 for this repairs. Upon picking up my vehicle, Dustin explained that he was undergoing a medical situation in which he has to get his blood drawn. Maybe that was the reason for his poor customer service. Nevertheless I've incurred additional problems from this repair.

    Young salesman Walter was Great, new the answers or got an answer. Worked out the Deal in no time. At 2pm he took the car for cleaning and gas, said he would let the financial manager know we were ready. ALL WENT DOWN HILL FROM THERE! You have a serious middle management problem, pecking order with younger sales people. Waiter 1 1/2 hours to pay by cash for the car. All 3 financial managers were playing games. I just had heart surgery and had to walk from the lower show room to pay for the car. Financial managers were to busy, but saw NO one else buying a car. I think this purchase was the 42 or 43 car I have bought. traveled for business for 40 years. Average around 60,000 miles a year.

    The team in the pre-owned division went above and beyond to make sure I got the vehicle that was perfect for me. Everyone involved in the process was polite and helpful.     1-My trade in price for my Honda Accord was miscalculated, so I am responsible for the balance 2-I asked for the navigation card that was missing from the car, when I returned to the dealership, the salesman said that he "forgot" but would check it out - 2 weeks later .... no call or reply 3- I would like to compliment the dealer that was in training - I believe his name was Vince (an ex-policeman who was new to the dealership) - he was very friendly and assisted me when the other dealers were "busy" even though I was the only customer in the dealership at the time.

  • Best Car Buying Experience Ever

    In the "game of life", buying an automobile is one of those experiences you fully and completely expect to be, at best, unpleasant and, at worst, excruciatingly painful. It is a necessary evil which must be done. Moreover, it’s something you have to do, but hate the thought of actually going through the process. My wife hand I recently embarked on that journey and, fortunately, not only was the experience neither unpleasant nor painful, it was actually enjoyable. That was, of course, only because we first visited Rick Hendrick BMW and luckily were assisted by Umut Engin - the most pleasant, proficient, and professional automobile salesman we have ever met. After doing some fairly extensive internet research, we had a good idea of the type of vehicle my wife wanted to purchase. We presented our ideas to Umut and in very short order he “built” the car we ultimately bought. He presented all of the available up-grade options, as well as the financing possibilities. All of this was done in Umut’s calm and, most importantly, non-pushy manner. After an hour or so, my wife had the automobile she wanted and we placed the order. We understood, of course, that we weren’t taking the car home that day, but would be picking it up in a few weeks. Fortunately, it was going to be built in Spartanburg so we did not have to wait too long. During the interim, Umut periodically updated us on the vehicle’s status and the progress of the construction. About a month after our initial visit, Umut called and said the car was ready and available for pickup. He took my wife through the vehicle’s “ins and outs” and made sure we were satisfied with the purchase. The X-3 looked even better than my wife had imagined. BMWs are truly the ultimate driving machines. As an aside, Umut has continued to be in contact with us regarding the car and my wife’s level of satisfaction. Just like most people, we have purchased a number of automobiles in our lives – both together and separately – for various dealerships in the Charleston area and elsewhere. No other car buying endeavor comes close to the one we had with Umut. We heartily recommend him and hope this review helps others actually have a pleasurable experience at an automobile dealership. Our experience was so amazingly pleasant, we have both recommended Umut to several of our friends, family, and co-workers. I am actually looking to purchase A BMW of my own and have been back to the dealership on several occasions. Finally, not only was Umut a refreshing change to what we expected, but all of the personnel we came into contact with at the BMW dealership were very accommodating, very professional, and very pleasant. I doubt we will be going anywhere else now or in the future.
  • One of the best car buying experiences I've had

    Suprised how easy it was to buy from them. I wasn't thrilled about going though the car buying experience again when I decided to upgrade from my Mercedes. My SL500 was getting up there in miles and age and it was time to upgrade. I found a BMW 640 online, got a quote, asked them to hold it till the next night, came in an bought. Pretty straight forward. I got more for my SL500 than I was expecting. Overall it was a great experience and not the old car sales experience I was expecting. Very professional experience. I've already recommended them to two associates who also bought there and had great experiences. Highly recomended if you want to be treated like a professional and not a "prospect" Nice job

    I buy locally. I've bought 4 cars from Rick Hendrick's BMW of Charleston. This summer, as usual, it should have been an easy, straight forward process. I'm an easy buyer...same car, not particular about the color, have just 1 or 2 requirements. Not fully loaded, black interior, no white car. Normally I buy a car in 1 visit. It took me 6 visits before I realized I would never buy a car at this dealer again due to the new Sales Manager and new sales associates. Now remember...I'm a 4 time loyal BMW customer. They wasted my time, visit after visit, with high pricing, deals no where near they had to be to be competitive, condescending behavior to a female buyer, and just a horrible experience. My last visit did it ---they baited me into buying a 5 series when I always wanted a 3 series, offered a deal I could not refuse, then when I went to sign the papers, and simply look at the car, they told me the deal expired (in less then 24 hours) with no notice of such. They wanted MORE money down. They also make a lot of money on the back end, making up frivolous claims about the condition of the car you turn in. I went to 3 dealers who told me I owned "nothing"...when this dealer wanted $1,500. Don't waste your time. There's a great dealer in Columbia, SC...they meet all of my requirements via phone on my drive up and were a joy to work with! Never waste your time with Rick Hendrick's group and the arrogant Sales Manager.
