  • One of best dealership experiences

Awesome dealership. We are usually pretty skeptical about car dealers but the guys at Grapevine really took care of us. My husband was very specific in what he wanted and what he wanted to pay. Josh Purdy and Jesse Garcia took great care of us and got us in and out in no time. They both were honest, respectful, and courteous. My husband can be a real handful at dealerships and they dealt with him great. Answered all of his questions and even put up with his craziness. So very happy with our experience that we will definitely be going back when I'm ready to get a new SUV.

  • Huge Misake

While test driving a 2013 Ford Focus "automatic" I was told by the salesman that the jerky transmission would get better within two weeks after it "learned" my driving style. Two months and 450 miles later we took it to Grapevine Ford service department. They said nothing was wrong with it and we needed to drive it for 1,000 miles for break in period. We took it back to sales dept and said we wanted to return it. They offered us a lousy trade in and inflated price on a different make used car. We went next door to Toyota and got $1,000 more for the Focus and a brand new Camry for what they were trying to sell a 2 year old model with 20,000 miles on it. Very dissatisfied with Grapevine Ford, and Ford in general for putting such a dysfunctioning car on the market and then not backing it up. Much less the stories they told us. Very satisfied with Toyota. No more Fords for us.

These guys will tell you anything to get you to buy a car, and then hope you forget really quickly. I called them several times to make sure that the car I had seen online was actually available, and they said yes. I get there and they tell me that car was never available. On my way out they talk me into looking at another car, even though the price is way over what I was looking to spend. They say "no problem", you can get it for the price you are looking for for. So I take a test drive and as soon as I get back the sales person laughs at my face and says there is no way I can get that car for that price... Steer clear of this place, they are [non-permissible content removed].

Purchased an F150 with a bumper to bumper extended warranty. Six months later, had an issue with my seat controller and found out it is not covered on my "bumper to bumper" warranty. Worse yet, they charged me $3000 for this bogus warranty. Be careful for these guys, they really push hard on the extra warranties. Took me several hours to negotiate the warranties. They are unrelentless and will stop at nothing to get you to buy these warranties. Felt like I was being held hostage, but I had already put in so much time in the purchasing process that I didn't want to start over with another dealership. Next time I will and will never spend another dime with this dealership. Absolutely, the worst buying experience I have ever had.

This dealership is good at telling you what you would be losing if you did not buy their MPP extended coverage and ZaKtec. The ZaKtec was not even applied and the car was not detailed. The finance department is very pushy. Do yourself a big favor get your own financing. If they start about how things shake loose at 12000 miles run like your hair is on fire. They honored the price because I had worked them out with another dealer and they did not want to lose the sale. If I knew then what I know now I would never have purchased my car there.

  • Worst Service EVER

Made an appointment for Friday night and between picking cars, going back t the office and check prices, and then narrow down the list to 4 cars, getting the keys and not finding the keys I spent 3 HOURS at the dealership--What a nightmare. Saturday morning the Manager calls me and convince me to go back to get a great deal, and De-jabu--2 1/2 hours and we do all over again, nothing accomplished. I ended up waking out with not prices nor information needed. Biggest waste of my time!

  • Positive Experience

I have purchased two vehicles from Grapevine Ford (a '12 Focus and '12 Explorer) and had good experience overall. The one time that I wasn't completely satisfied they worked very hard to make it right. It did take a bit of time to complete the paperwork, but I think that helps to make sure your making the right decision. Compared to other dealership experiences I have had in the past Grapevine Ford has been far superior.
  • Wow! Got a new Taurus SEL for a $1000 less than TMV

My thanks to Edmunds for the TMV. I solicited bids from 9 dealers - 5 local and 4 in DFW (I live 65 miles out of Dallas). Two in DFW came back with initial quotes for my desired vehicle/options under Edmunds TMV. (No local dealer came close). One was more than $1000 under - but they came in late with their bid - after I had decided to buy from Grapevine. So, I called Grapevine to see if they would match the bid. They couldn't believe the other dealer could come in with such a low bid. They called me back later with the answer and matched the bid. The answer was that Ford (unknown to me) had made me a "private offer" of an additional $1000 rabate for having previously purchased Ford. This came in the mail in Oct 2011, and I had tossed it as junk mail - but it was in the dealers' systems. The other Dallas area dealer had discovered it. Grapevine went through the effort to discover why I could get such a low quote. I stayed with Grapevine rather than go with the other dealer because (1) I had already been in several conversations with their internet sales manager and felt comfortable with him, and (2) because they had window tinting already on the car and the other dealer did not. The next day at Grapevine everything was as they led me to beelieve - no surprizes and no pressure to add on things I didn't want. Overall, a great buying experience for an unbelievabe price. Again, thanks Edmunds!!!
  • Consistently good people

I rated this dealer as top notch primarily for the consistent attitude of its employees. From sales to finance to service, they were good listeners who strove to say 'yes" to all my requests. When they couldn't agree to my requests, they worked hard to find workable and acceptable (to me) compromises. These folks made the purchase a pleasant experience. More importantly, that attitude has not changed after the sale. Their Service department has been the same. I'd recommend this dealership highly. Try them out. You'll get a good deal and enjoy the purchase, as well as the product.
  • Silver Medal Performance

There were definitely positives about the transaction but some negatives. Positives: personable salesman and finance rep, pleased with pre-owned vehicle and final transaction pricing. Negatives: back and forth to get to final pricing. I am a married female, a professional and mom to 3 boys. I am all about efficiency especially when it comes to my personal time. I felt I was straight forward about my budget requirements including my trade in. Toward the end, I felt they were trying to persuade me to go up some in price but I held firm and said I was ok with walking away from the deal because I recognize they have to make a reasonable profit. I think they were a bit surprised I remained firm and, in the end, were able to make the numbers work. I don't think this is unique to this dealership but, at this point in my life, I do not want to sit at a dealership for hours and I don't want to be persuaded on an emotional level. Again, they were personable and came through in the end on the numbers. They did detail the car but did not check the tire pressure (warning light on) nor top off the tank as promised. It wasn't worth it to drive back after I realzed the oversight when I got home. Very pleased with vehicle and trade in on my car.
  • Best experience ever!

I can not praise these guys enough! This is my family's 4th vehicle bought at Grapevine and my second Lincoln. I love being able to go to the dealership without dragging my husband and know I will feel so taken care of. Sam D. and Zach Z. found me not only a car that I love, but a price I can afford. I truly felt like a VIP customer. Steve K. was always around to make sure I didn't need anything or to offer a laugh. Curtis H. had everything ready for me to sign and made the entire process pain free. And finally, Darren L. did everything possible to make sure I got everyting I wanted in a car. I am in love with my Lincoln MKZ and highly recommend these guys. This dealership is a much better place because of these outstanding guys :)
  • attacked but did escape!

When viewing the Escape, I tried to move the lever to fold down the back seat. It would not move, so the salesman came around the car and found it was hung up on the seat belt. He reached in and moved the seat belt and then the seat folded down. Probably because he had his hand inside to make sure the seat lever worked, the seat seemed to come down slowly. So, after he was done, I reached in to the lever to fold down the seat. It came down really fast, and my head was in the way, and it really slammed into my face. I immediately had a large lump, and the salesman did ask if I would like some ice. I said yes, and that I also would go inside and sit down while he got it. By the time I left there and arrived back at my apt. I had a very large lump and a grand shiner around my eye. Even though I mentioned that I had seen the doctor about my eye, I was never contacted by the dealer to see how I was. I did have contact to see if I still wanted to buy the car. Needless, I did not buy and Escape, and I did not buy from this dealer.
