Lone Star Chevrolet Purchase
by JET1952 on 05/02/2016I recently purchased a new vehicle from Lone Star Chevrolet. My contact at the dealership was Bob Wills, Internet Sales Manager. The entire process was straight-forward and very much to my liking. Like most people, I did my research before… hand so I knew which options I wanted and I had a good idea what I should be paying based on the input from other buyers. I initially contacted several dealerships by email asking for a drive-out price on a vehicle with a specific set of options. When I sent my request to Bob, he responded back quickly and presented me with a drive-out price. There was no "what are you willing to pay?", "let me go talk with my manager" or "how much can you afford monthly?" talk. Just a simple MSRP minus dealer discounts, incentives and rebates. Easy to read and compare against other quotes I had received. There were no hidden costs or fees and no pressure like "that price is only good if you buy today". Once we agreed on the final price, it was turned over to Reggie, one of their Finance Managers. He was very courteous and professional. The entire financing procedure took less than 30 minutes and only because you have to sign a lot of paper work and Reggie did an excellent job of explaining what each form was and why it needed to be signed. I've bought a lot of vehicles and this was probably the quickest, most straight-forward and professional sales and financing combinations I've dealt with. If you want to be treated fairly and with respect, I'd highly recommend you contact Bob Wills in Sales and request Reggie in Financing. You'll be glad you did.Terrible service. Disgusted customer
by Aecerda1 on 04/12/2016updated 04/25/2016Do not recommend this place for any services! First I waited 15 mins before being asked for help then I waited an hour and a half, for an appointment which took me weeks to make. When I went to go ask how much longer my vehicle would be I… was told I was next. When I asked why hasn't anything been done after an hour and a half I was told because there is a new system in place. I then asked for my vehicle back because I had things to do than sit at a dealership for hours just for an oil change and tire rotation. The service person helping apologized and said I could return anytime WITHOUT an appointment and wouldn't have to wait as long. When my husband took the vehicle back later in the week he then wait TWO hours just for a simple oil change and tire rotation. No service analysis was done on my vehicle but then the only thing the mechanics said was that the key to all the master lock lug nuts was gone and tried to give us a quote, when I believe and know this dealership lost it because this is THE ONLY PLACE I BRING MY VEHICLE TO. Needless to say I am overly disappointed and disgusted by the service all around. Once my service warranty is finished with this place I will NEVER return or EVER recommend anyone to such a headache!Great service great staff and clean lobby
by Astavinoha85 on 04/15/2016The staff had a great attitude they were very sweet. Not only did I get what I came for but also a free car wash! The lobby was spacious free popcorn and water!Great Customer Service
by Jeeniferirg on 04/05/2016Great buying experience! From start to finish they were upfront and honest with accommodating my needs and helped me choose the best vehicle.Great Sales and Service Facilities
by SalesnServ on 04/04/2016My wife and I purchased a 2003 Sportside Silverado Pickup from Lone Star Chevrolet in July of 2003. This dealership has taken excellent care of us and the truck all the way from the beginning. Any time we receive a follow-up for anything… (sales or service), we know that in every contact there is a genuine interest in our 100% satisfaction all the way from service contracts for our protection to servicing the maintenance items of our vehicles. Matter of fact, we also bought a new Impala LTZ2 because of the way we have been treated over the years. We can say we have always been completely satisfied and will highly recommend Lone Star Chevrolet to anyone for any kind of vehicle needs - new, used, service, parts, etc.New Sliverado LT 2015
by Marlene25 on 10/27/2015I purchase a Silver Silverado on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Lone Star Dealship. My salesperson Jeff McMillan was professional and the best. It got me the best deal and I traded in a Malibu. I highly recommend this gentleman.Great Dealership with low price and good saless peopl
by cecilperry on 09/08/2015I just purchased a new Silverado pickup from them. I tried to buy another GMC from Beck & Masten but Lone Star was $5,000 without any work. My sales rep AJ Metzger gave me a great deal and even a good trade-in on my old GMC without even… looking at the truck. The place in beautiful inside and service department is up to date. I also received 3 followup calls to make sure i was satisfied. Thats never happened to me before. Even the finance deal went well. They don't try to over price the extended warranty or any other after market things or add any surprise to the finance agreement like many places I have been. If your buying a GMC product go by and I think you will be surprised.Excellent sales personnel
by jesusramirez on 06/18/2015Very excellent personnel. Love it and will highly recommend it, Very motivated sales staff. Facilities very family friendly.2015 Chevrolet Silverado LT

by qpe041 on 11/04/2014Back in May, I called to get some parts ordered for my car, since there was a recall on it. The young lady I spoke with said the parts have been ordered, and I would be contacted. I wasn't told at that time how long it would take (though,… assumed it wouldn’t take longer than a month). I called one month after.. About a month and half after… two months after… and no parts had arrived. Finally I had spoken with Mike…and basically was told to stop calling as I would be called. I finally decided to call in October since I had never received a call in between time (5 months later). When I called, they told me my parts had been in for a while. Funny, because no one ever called me.. in which I was skeptical from the beginning. I was also told if I needed transportation, I would be provided it (no radius was given). I set up my service date 28 October, and the service advisor was Valentin. I was told the service timeframe wait was expected 3-4 hours (per Valentin) for the recalls to be done. The 28th comes around…. And I arrive at 0730 (appointment for drop off was at 8). I wanted to confirm how long it’ll take (again) with Valentin… and then was told 4-5 hours. I let him know I spoke with him prior to the 28th and was told 3-4 hours, and he seemed to be in denial and said he never told me that timeframe. I asked for a loaner car, or for transportation to get to work. He then told me they would not provide a loaner car for the day.. and also, there was suddenly a radius of 10-12 miles of a distance they were willing to travel to take me where I needed to go. Unfortunately I work downtown, and let him know that. He had nothing to say… and just stared at me. Great. I went ahead and left the car there, expecting 4-5 hours of service to be done. I was called about 6 hours later and was given an “update.” The car still wasn’t ready. In fact, the car wasn’t ready until 8 hours later. I had to find transportation elsewhere to get myself to and from where I needed to go. When I went to pick up the car, Valentin had left for the day. The gentleman that brought up my car, just brought it up. That’s it. I had no idea they threw away my old key, and replaced them (as this was part of the recall). As I drove off the lot, I noticed my dashboard was broken and there was something sticking out through it. By then, they were already closed. I left a message for Valentin, and was/still am extremely upset that it’s broken. He called me the following morning and said there was nothing they could do for the broken dashboard because it’s not their fault. That too was funny, because I left the car there without a broken dashboard.. and came to pick it up, with a broken dashboard. He told me to come in Monday after work (6:10-6:15pm) to have Ronnie or Steve look at it. Sure enough, I went in Monday directly after work. Beforehand, I went ahead and called to make sure someone was going to be there. I spoke with Steve and let him know I was on the way and started to explain the situation and was cut off in the middle of it…. it seemed like he was in a rush to go home. He told me to ask for Ronnie when I got there, and Ronnie could help. Almost felt like we were playing “Hot Potato, Hot Potato,” because just one person couldn’t help me and I had to keep repeating myself in regards to the situation. I get there, and explained the situation to Ronnie. Ronnie had no answer either, except the fact that it wasn’t their fault. I was continuously told they were not at fault for the damages since they did not work on that side of the car. I came into their service department without a broken dashboard and left it there for 8 hours, and came back to a car with a broken dashboard. How is this not their fault when they were in care for the vehicle? Interesting. Ronnie then told me perhaps it could’ve broken while it was out on the parking lot from the heat. The weather on this day was cool, there was no heat in Houston on that day (positive note). As we continued to go back and forth, I was fed up with him repeating himself saying it wasn’t their fault the dashboard is broken. I then asked him for a number or someone to speak with that is above him… and was given General Motors’ number. Not too sure why I was given this number. General Motors is who manufactures the vehicle, but had no fault in breaking the dashboard… nor do they probably know who Ronnie is from LoneStar Chevrolet. As I asked him what would General Motors do, I got no clear response… and he asked for me to hold on. I waited, and then comes out Johnnie Smith (the General Manager). I again, repeated my situation, and Johnnie looked at the car, puzzled. He crossed his arms and said they were not at fault and would not replace the dashboard… again. As I told him the situation is ridiculous that I left the vehicle for the day practically.. and come back with it broken… he just nodded his head and said there was nothing they could do as they have no evidence and do not look over the car completely when it is dropped off. Fortunately, I did.I had a broken glass, and a scratch on the side of my car prior to bringing it in. Obviously, I’m not going to say they did something they in face did not. Though, I find it outrageously disappointing that the dashboard was broken while it was there.. yet, are not willing to be responsible for it. I have contacted the Customer Relations Manager at Sonic Automotive (who is in charge of Lone Star Chevrolet), and am awaiting a call. It is ridiculous that they are not willing to fix a damage they made. Had I known, I would’ve sat in the car throughout the whole 8 hour process, and I’m sure that even wouldn’t have made the difference. I put it into this perspective: You drop off a suit at the cleaners that you paid $1,000+ to get cleaned. You pick it up with a tear or it being altered, when that in fact was not what you dropped it off for. And yet, the cleaners are telling you they didn’t do it. Hmm. Okay. No one values the service they provide here. It’s just more for them, and out the door. Horrifying to picture it this way.Jessica, Again,we apologize for this misunderstanding and if you like to further voice your concerns please reach out to Chris Conner at chris.conner@lonestarchevrolet.com. Thank you
Lone Star Rules!
by jace34 on 09/24/2014Great place to buy a used or new car! I bought a 2014 Chevy Spark loaded and I love it! Courteous, Patient, knowledgeable, helpful and professional is how I would describe the Lone Star salesman and finance department!Horrible Body Shop Service
by carperson6 on 09/20/2014Took my car, which i purchased from lone star, in to be repaired from a no-fault accident. When I went to pick it up, the repairs were not complete and the body was severely scratched across the passengers side. Lonestar fought every step… of the way to fix it--even the parts that were not fixed from the accident that were in the original scope. Before I had finalized the drop off of my car a technician at Lonestar walked around the car with me and marked the points of preexisting damage, the scratches were not part of it. After two attempts the damage was not all fixed. Additionally, the customer service for this experience was horrible. Auditors will not willingly (even after politely asked) walk out to your car to review the work done on it with you. The final time I came in to pick up my car I was just handed the keys, no thank you for your business, have a nice day etc. Lonestar is seriously failing in their body shop and service departments. Because of this experience I will not buy another car from Lonestar. Previous dealings with them had all been pleasant and easy but this experience was so horrible it made the decision.Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We assure you customer satisfaction is our highest priority and we are truly sorry for your poor experience at our store. We would like to talk to you directly regarding your experience so we can make this right. Please contact our Body Shop Manager Dave Barton at 281-517-7018 or by e-mail at david.barton@lonestarchevrolet.com. We hope to hear from you soon.

by jgarcia1234 on 08/25/2014I am a 25 year old college graduate, while working in corporate America for the past 2+ years, I decided it was time to buy my first new vehicle. I went car shopping with my father and he suggested Lone Star Chevy. It was the 3rd dealership… and Kelvin came up to me and asked what I was looking for. I told him a small SUV and he directed me to the Equinox. I knew I wanted a SUV but wasn't sure if the price was for me. Kelvin explained all the deals and with his help and my great credit, I bought a 2014 Equinox LTZ. The customer service that I received from Kelvin was amazing, great experience for a 1st timer like myself. I wasn't pressured to buy anything out of my price range and he worked wonders with what I wanted my payments to be. Thanks Lone Star Chevy for the great hospitality.great experience
