by sportwagentdi on 03/03/2011updated 04/25/2025My wife and I attempted to deal with West Houston VW twice; buying her Jetta in early 2009 and my TDI Sportwagen in late 2009. Both experiences were miserable, with sales employees seeming to care less. The woman my wife attempted to work⦠with addressed her by the wrong name in emails on several occasions and always acted like she was too busy to sell my wife a car...odd. When I began looking, I gave them a shot despite my wife's experience. I think the same woman "helped" me and was very disinterested in showing me the vehicles in stock or offering a test drive. I want to work with people who are interested in doing their job, so i quickly moved on to another dealership.Wish i could give them another chance
by sportwagentdi on 03/03/2011updated 04/25/2025I really wish I could give this dealership another chance...mostly because they are so close to my house. However, we now drive 25 miles to the next closest dealership for our free maintenance. I've taken my TDI Sportwagen to this⦠dealership once after my car stalled unexpectedly at a stoplight. They initially said they had seen the problem once before and it was a real pain to remedy. However, the next day they called and said it was my fault and that the diesel in the tank "looked weird." They couldn't provide me the "weird" fuel so that I could have it looked at on my own, but proceeded to tell me that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. They also told me that a VW "corporate guy" looked at the fuel and told them it wouldn't be covered; however, the dealership later admitted that there was no "guy" and it was a lie. I was called a liar when I firmly stood my ground and told them I had not put any type of additive or regular gasoline in my car. They claimed to have drained the tank and replaced the fuel filter, but the tank was still 1/4 full when i picked up the car and can't imagine they would have put more than a splash of gas back in if they had drained it. This was on top of the fact that the service representative twice told me that he would call in the afternoon to let me know the status and failed both times. All in all, that was a horrible three-day experience. I was told that the service manager is now gone, but I still can't bring myself to go back.BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
by jamesbond3 on 04/14/2013updated 04/25/2025Few days ago, my wife and I went to the dealership and we left after closing time. Manager Mario, said the gate was close and we have to wait until somebody come to open the gate. He left and we had to wait in our car for 30 minutes until⦠somebody showed up. We could be there for long time if the other person did not show up. Mario should not left until we leave. He showed poor management skill, no experience, bad, bad customer service.
