When I returned he was off and so he had Claire help me. I was more committed to purchasing a Ford and so… I had more questions for her. Both of them answer messages promptly and are always professional. Easy to work with. There was one glitch. Nothing to do with Claire it George. My husband and I intended to make a cash purchase but due to rebates we needed to finance a portion. I feel confident Claire told him the amount we wanted to finance and in my excitement forgot to write a check. The finance manger didn’t verify verbally the amount to finance and financed the whole amount. We were not interested in paying interest in the full amount. So that was a bit unsettling. Partly our fault as well. It was a late and rainy night and we all wanted to get Home. We did resolve the issue easily.Employees are not Their Responsibility
by Nathan on 02/19/2019We had an employee drop off a company vehicle to be serviced. Spent $700 on a 16k mile vehicle somehow. Had issues with vehicle warning lights. Took it back to a novice of a Service Advisor that had no clue what the light even meant or… where the problem could be located. Picked up the vehicle and AirPods and a portable battery pack were stolen. Roughly $230 worth of merchandise. Service Advisor continued to say things would be made right. Only to receive word after 3-4 weeks that we would not be reimbursed “CITING LACK OF PREVIOUS ISSUES IN THIS REGARD, AND POLICY STATING WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS LEFT IN VEHCILES.” We are the rare case that something was stolen while the vehicle was in your possession? Hard to believe. Not responsible for items left in vehicles? So I take it you don’t care if your employees steal from paying customers? It’s just easiest to say we are not responsible? Poor management and customer service.Excellent until....

All went well until we were signing papers. My husband and I wanted to finance a small portion of the price of the car. I know… that Claire informed the finance person we were dealing of the amount we intended to finance. In my excitement I never wrote the check and realized it as I was driving home. However the finance person didn't ask for the check either. He just financed the entire cost of the automobile. I am not sure if it was an intentional or an oversight but I feel it was the finance man's responsibility to only finance what we requested. Otherwise our experience was excellent.Repair Clutch in Mustang

We had 3 recalls on our truck and he asked if we would like to have the oil changed or tires rotated while they had the truck. We hadn’t even thought about… it but we needed both so we had it done. We left the truck there and went to work. He called us throughout the day several times to let us know the status. Very well done! Thank you for outstanding service!!Service Recall

Poor Service
by topazF12 on 11/01/2018Lied to about trade in simulator. Sales manager crumbled up contract when I did not agree to low trade in value. Drove truck for less than 2 days and was told by general manager Cecilio Flores if I wanted something that drive like new I… should have purchased new. I now have to spend $800 dollars to replace body mounts that are completely dry rotted. Also told this was general maintenance and not covered in your inspection. Was quoted a price of 1200 less 20% . Not at all what I would expect out of a "Fortune 500" company. This has been the worst buying experience of my life.Thanks for leaving us this response. The 4 stars given is excellent and exceeded expectations. A 5 star should be rare as we all have areas where we can improve and… perfect hardly ever happens. That being said, Kevin G. did an excellent job working with me throughout the process. He has a great general knowledge of the vehicle and the process for purchasing. The finance manager was also great and we worked through the process seamlessly. There were also aftermarket additions after the sale that the team assisted with and kept me up to date on final delivery. Largest area of improvement is the financing paperwork. This process appears to have not been updated in 20 years or more. It's just ironic that I can buy and sell a home/property by electronic signature, but an auto loan still has the same old pink/yellow/green paperwork. I'm sure that is not the fault of AutoNation, but if enough people complain, maybe something will change. It makes no difference if you are financing or paying cash, the process takes equal time. Leaving on a positive note, the experience was excellent and I would recommend AutoNation if interested in a FORD product.Highly Disappointment
by Orlando25 on 06/08/2018updated 06/19/2018I got the impression that the sales person was just chasing the next sale. He did not take a geniune interest in me as a buyer. I was pre-approved and once I agreed to purchase the vehicle, he went on to working another sale. He did not… take the time to show me the functionality of the inside of the vehicle. Additionally, I had to make two trips to get my second, original, vehicle to my resident. Again he was always busy with a customer. Eventually, at the end of his workday, he found the time to drive to drive my vehicle to my home and I drop him back at the dealership. A few weeks later when I went to p/u my new license plates, he was chasing another sale and too busy to put them on for me. He asked me to ask another one of his sales co-workers to do it for him. His team member did so, but did not apply the window sticker. Yes, it's a little thing, but I believe in total follow through. It's the little things that make all the difference. Since the purchase, I've made two trips to get an ozone treatment to the vehicle. It stinks. The inside of the vehicle smells bad from smoking done by the prior owner. Last week the service guy was supposely at lunch when I brought my vehicle in. Today I discovered that he's only available at the dealership on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and an appointment must be made by my salesperson. I was also told by my salesperson, at the time of my purchase, that I could bring the vehicle in as many times as necessary, until I was satisfied. I shared this info with the service female. She placed a call to another party, repeating to him/her what I'd said and gave me the 'look' that what I'd been told was not accurate AND that what I'd been told was not factual. I was given the impression that these treatments were complimentary for new buyers. After, the poor service, I've received, I should be receiving complimentary ozone treatments and oil changes. Being a former sales executive, I know first hand what true customer service consist of. In short, during the buying and after the purchase I felt and still feel as though I was just part of his quota, a number, not a person.We are deeply disappointed by your lackluster experience at AutoNation Ford Katy.
