  • Bad dealership, bad!!!

1 out of 5 starsby Fernando Martinez on 03/14/2025

Terrible experience with this Nissan dealer. These guys take the bait and switch technique to a whole different level. They lure customers by advertising relatively lower prices for some vehicles only to jack up the price once the customer walks in. In this case, after agreeing over the phone to pay the advertised price for a new 2024 Nissan model, I made an appointment and visited this dealer. Immediately upon getting there, the sales person tells me that the price does not include another nearly $2,000 for a spray on the windshield and “GPS monitoring”. After a few minutes, finance guy arrives and with a standoffish attitude tells me basically to take it or leave. Finance guy definitely falls under the “needs improvement” category regarding customer service and people skills. Needless to say, I walk out of there after having wasted several hours of my time. Quite a shame that dealerships like this drag through the mud the name of a great company, such as Nissan. Do yourself a favor and look for another dealer with better reviews.

  • Profit over People at Nissan New Braunfels!

    1 out of 5 starsby Rich L on 03/06/2025

If I could give this place zero stars, I would... be ready for the shakedown! Do NOT trust this place, especially Garret Kinsey Be Warned...This dealership operates on deception and outright extortion. The advertised prices? Fake. Only after you show up will you be notified of a mandatory $2,000 “apex warranty package” that they refuse to remove. This allows them to avoid any negotiation on vehicle price b/c you spend your time trying to fight the price of the mandatory package that you didn't ask for and don't need. When I called them out on this shady practice and asked if it's mandatory on all vehicles, Garrett Kinsey, the so-called ‘manager,’ had the audacity to tell me, “Every customer pays for it one way or another.” In other words, they’ll squeeze the money out of you somehow—whether through an unneeded warranty, hidden fees, or some other scam. I stood my ground, and Garrett made it clear that this was standard practice. He even told me, point-blank, that he was fine with me walking away and costing his salesman a commission rather than sell the car for the advertised price because “Somebody else will come in and pay.” So basically, they’re happy to scam someone else if you don’t take the bait... and they don't even care about their own employees. It's not lip service either.. I literally left the dealership with no objection from them but ended up returning to please my wife. And to top it all off? After finally closing the deal, Garrett smugly signed off with, “Easy peezy, lemon squeezy.” As if ripping people off is just another casual day at the office for him. I do want to say that my salesman actually seemed like a decent guy—he was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly wanted to do right by me. But it was obvious he was at the mercy of the toxic, dishonest culture set by Garrett and the dealership’s leadership. He had no choice but to push this ridiculous warranty package because that’s how this place forces every deal to go. Nissan of New Braunfels is a complete joke and an insult to honest car buyers. If they’re this shady about pricing, imagine what else they’re hiding—hidden damage? Dishonest financing? Lifetime service scams? I wouldn't trust any department based on what is allowed to take place. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. This dealership does not care about you!

  • Stay Away from this Place

    1 out of 5 starsby Bradford72 on 02/17/2025

Wasted a couple hours here today. Advertised "Certified" price was $15595 but once we sat down to do the deal it went to $20k which included $2k for some lame "protection plan" and $2500 for the CPO coverage which was already advertised with the original price. The salesman's response was "read the disclosure in the ad which states we cannot guarantee the accuracy of our pricing"...WTF? This place is truly old school car dealer. All that's missing are the 70's style leisure suits and the cigarette smoke. And of course after we left, the salesman came running out to our car claiming he could meet our terms, only to slink back 10 minutes later admitting he'd wasted our time. Never, ever, ever buy from [non-permissible content removed].

  • Don’t Deserve Your Money

1 out of 5 starsby Duped Again on 12/12/2024

Save your hard earned time and money and go to one of the Nissan dealerships down the road for a used vehicle! I found the car we wanted so called the New Braunfels advisor to verify price and ensure it would be available before a 2 hour drive there. After deciding to go forward with the purchase of a vehicle listed for 19k, we were then told about required charges that were not listed as part of the price. 19k turned into 25k due to the CPO and GPS additional required charges. This dealership is NOT transparent with their prices. Why even have a section to figure out your monthly payment if you're going to add these charges I have no idea about. Other Nissan dealerships do not do this. THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT UP FRONT WITH THEIR PRICES! BEWARE!!
    • Mike, transparency is important to us, so it's concerning to read your review. I'd like the opportunity to discuss this further and see how we can address your concerns. Please feel free to reach out at your convenience. Thank you, Sierra Crowley - Owner Loyalty Manager - (830) 627-4013

  • No Transparency

1 out of 5 starsby JB on 10/18/2024

I previously purchased a pathfinder at this dealership before. I am not a local buyer, I actually drove about 3 hours from home since we were able to do most of the negotiations over the phone and at that time they offered me a good deal. I'm actually interested in buying another vehicle so my wife called in a few weeks back and all they did was take her info and advised someone would return her call. They returned her phone call about a week later and just left her a voicemail asking if she was still interested in a vehicle. I called in today to inquire about vehicle and they transferred me to a sales rep. He told me it was available and of course asked me when I could come in to see it. I advised that I'm not local and would want to know more details about final price, any add-ons, and if I liked price then I would make the drive out there. He refused to give me any more info saying he would only provide me that information in person. He even acknowledged that he saw on system I had previously purchased from there before but that I still needed to go in person, that he couldn't provide any more info. Crazy, I wonder if it's just the sales rep i got or of if it's a new business practice......Not only does this seem kinda shady, but I guess customer service has gone out the door!
    • JB, I'm concerned to hear about your recent experience. We strive for transparency and excellent customer service, so it's disappointing that this wasn't reflected during your interaction. I'd like to help address this situation and provide the information you need. Please feel free to reach out directly at your convenience. Thank you, Ben Nash - General Manager - (830) 420-5241

  • Bait and switch

1 out of 5 starsby Claybuster on 09/03/2020

Contacted them about two Murano's that were shown for sale.. They led me on and when I was ready to meet and buy, they quit talking to me. I believe what happened was they really didn't have the car in inventory but wanted to pull a bait and switch.
  • 2019 sale

5 out of 5 starsby sclikescars on 11/27/2018

I was in shock whe I got to the dealer and the had a hot coffee for the two of us waiting. The car we wanted to drive was there, ready to go. We had such a warm and pleasant experience, I just can't find words to say how good it was. Megan did a super job and was very patient with us.The whole company is customer oriented including the managers. When you have a problem, they have solutions, not excuses like others. I'm glad we took the chance and when there.
  • 2018 rogue lease

5 out of 5 starsby BillieV on 06/05/2018

From the moment I walked through the door, everyone was extremely helpful. When I decided to lease my car, Jesse Saiz was extremely knowledgeable with every question I had asked. Financing did a professional job, and even upper management cares about you, customer service.
