by Loretta Miller on 02/29/2024I received the most courteous welcome and my whole overall experience was excellent. My salesperson Scott Fickert was outstanding and a total pleasure. I felt very safe and confident during my time spent with him. He worked very hard to… give me the best offer and to leave confident that I had made the right decision in choosing Don Herring Mitsubishi. I was treated like a valued client from the minute I entered their building. Scott made the experience personal rather than treating me as just another person interested in a new vehicle. His personality shines through his commitment to Mitsubishi but at the same time to realise his customer receives the best possible outcome of their visit to his showroom. His follow-up in the days after I went home with my new car made me feel that Mitsubishi/Don Herring/Scott wanted my decision to purchase a new car to be a memorable and safe buying experience. I'm sure all the sales personnel are as committed but having the luck to have Scott was a bonus as far as I am concerned. Making such a serious commitment as a new car was enhanced but his caring, professional, fun personality. I am so happy from start to finish with my decision to choose Don Herring North Mitsubishi. I was helped to make this decision with my telephone conversations from the UK in anticipation of needing to find a dealership that had a caring ethos rather that just concerned with selling/repairing vehicles.Great Experience

Michael got me the exact trim and package within a few days, kept me posted, and trailered it all the way to Albuquerque. When other dealers couldn't do… it, pushed me into inferior vehicles, or kept me guessing, these guys went above and beyond without playing games.Exceptional service

When me and my wife was making test drive sales person said, that they are not like some companies who is just selling cars and forgot about their customers, but after I bought a car this is exactly what… was happened! This dealership not checking used cars for technical issues or factory recalls. The car I bought has a steering wheel damage, sales person Richard said that they will fix it, it is not a problem. Everything else was looks good and on the next day (Friday) we start process. I asked him again about steering wheel and he said that it is not fixed, but at Monday he will call me and tell when I can come to their shop. At the same day I took car home and at Saturday I was there again to complete paperwork. I was talk with manager Alex, we finished paper work, and I ask him about steering wheel damage too, to be sure that it will be fixed, he said the same, that they will call me at Monday. At Monday no one did call me and I called them by myself and heard that they will call Tuesday. At Tuesday they did not call me about this repair again, they call me just to charge me down payment that they forgot to charge. At Wednesday I sent text message to sales person, he answer me that he will fined out and looks like he did't, because there were no more calls or texts. At the next week I received call from lady, she asked me what I think about their service at dealership. I answered her questions and said that I am not really satisfied, because they promised me to repair steering wheel and they did not. She said ok, I will let them know... Today is 15 days pass from the day of purchase and still nobody care! Another thing is that car has active factory recall. At this dealership no one did said me about that. May be it is because they use Autochek, I do not know, just when I took report from car fax, I saw it on the first page. But it is not the worst thing. On the next day I start filling a judder on acceleration. And it start being worst from day to day on first two gears. Then I bring this car to Ford dealership, to replace parts from recall and I ask them to check transmission too. Thank's God, this car is still on the factory warranty, otherwise I will should pay for clutch replace from my pocket! It means that they did not check cars they sell at all! And you can buy real garbage there. In my opinion this two issues is more than enough to not buy a car at Don Herring Mitsubishi Plano again!great people but
by smokedhero on 09/15/2016i purchased a new lancer in 2014 and had a great experience. fast forward to september 2016 and i was looking for a possible buy of a new car and all i get is empty responses. i email them i call them and i'm told to send them mileage of my… car and vin number wait and wait and no response no call since they are not interested in a sale and don't care about there potential return customer i will be looking somewhere else for a new purchaseI am so sorry to hear that your call was not returned. The Service Depts lack of Services
by Npb36879 on 12/08/2015I will say the good thing is when there is ever a recall on my outlander they handle it very quickly now I also had a warranty issue and that was expected to take most of the day to fix. Given that I only have one at most two days off a… week when I am off I need to get a lot of things handled - there are NO loaner vehicles offered from the service department even when you purchase your vehicle from them and are still completely under warranty. I do not know if this is a Mitsubishi thing A North Texas Mitsubishi thing or a Don hearing thing but I have had several vehicles throughout the years and no matter who it was with (Toyota, Chevy, Nissan, And Kia) if I ever took my vehicle into their shop to have services done on my car I was allowed a loaner vehicle without having to pay out-of-pocket to get a rental . I find it a massive disappointment, big enough of one in fact, I will now be going to trade my vehicle my next weekend off for a different brand. I've unfortunately found my experience with Mitsubishi and what they offer me to be very disappointing.I am glad that we were able to assist you with your recall and warranty work. Gillian was such a huge help, from my first initial email to when I finally was able to get up to the dealership almost a week later. Always helpful answering any questions… I have and being patient with me. My husband and I both have some serious dings on our credit but they were able to help us get out of our upside down Kia and into something brand new that we just love. Gillian's boss, Steve, was also great. He was very patient with us and all our questions and helping us figure out the best option for our family. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to this dealership, I hate sales people and they were just great.Congratulations on your new car! by john_carmich0 on 09/03/2015Brett Cantrell needs to have some major training in customer service and customer relations. My fiance went into this dealership trying to buy a new car. I was unable to be there so she went by herself. After a little bit she called me for… help cause she had signed some papers but didn't know what they were. While on the phone she told me what the terms and conditions were which was not a bad deal and seemed to be that they were trying to work with her however just wasn't a good deal for us at the time. I asked to speak to salesman to go over what these terms and conditions were due to the fact that my fiance doesn't really have any experience in this department and she felt more comfortable with me going over the paperwork. Upon asking Mr. Cantrell to talk to me on the phone, he said he would NOT talk to me about anything. At this moment I told my fiance to just get her keys and leave. After she left I called Mr. Cantrell to let him know that where he absolutely lost the deal was when he would not talk to me. He said he doesn't talk about that kind of stuff on the phone, however it seems he doesn't follow either his own rule or dealership policy because he began to tell me the numbers and that I would be crazy not to do this deal trying to get me back into the showroom. When i told him that i would not be coming back in but rather was calling to let him know how he lost the sale so that he could be more open in the future with talking on the phone he proceeded to tell me that "As her was her fiance I should have stepped up and co-signed for her to get her a better deal." VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. You do not talk to customers that potentially want to spend a lot of money with them that way!!!!!! I would recommend to avoid Brett Cantrell at all costs!!!Throttle Body Repair

by mdjml on 10/01/2014I had cash-in-hand waiting to hear from RJ ("internet specialist") - after he reached out to me via email telling me the car I wanted was available; - after calling and emailing - got the requested vehicle history from someone else in the… dealership after trying to reach RJ for hours - then came up to the lot within the hour to find it "had just been sold" - Feels like a Bait and Switch - or at the least inconsiderate salesmanship for not getting back to me.We are disappointed to hear that there was a misunderstanding with a vehicle that you were interested in. We can assure you that our sales staff is always working hard with customers to make sure that they have accurate information. We are sorry the vehicle you were interested in was not available. He made this experience wonderful. I have never had someone whom cared about what I… really wanted. He made it happen. My sister & brother n law told me I wasnt going to be disappointed and boy were they right! He also got them in their new cars as well. Thank you Alex and staff for getting me in my New Outlander! by newid on 07/19/2009I bought a 2001 Galant from this dealership - decent buying experience and small maintenance stuff... Now comes the big part... I had bought an extended bumper to bumper warranty from these guys that would (supposedly) cover repairs to the… engine and transmission. My car engine recently died due to radiator problems. This is less than 3 months after I had a 15k check done at the same dealership and got a clean [violative content deleted] (and spent nearly a thousand bucks). So, I go back to them (the warranty is still valid), and they completely washed their hands off the matter... saying radiator is not covered, this caused that and that led to that... also gave me BS like "the warranty is with a third party... blah blah... never mind I had bought the warranty and the car from them. To top it all, they charged me 500 bucks to investigate the matter and make an estimate. Obviously the estimate for repairs was 70% of the cost of the car. I got the car fixed from another place at a much lower cost, and it's doing fine now... but was extremely peeved at the attitude of the service guys. Not sure what I can do to bring the scamsters to task... I would really like to. Oh.. And one more thing... they gave a "suggestion" of getting the car fixed from them and trading it for a new Endeavor... no matter that the company did not bring out an '09 model (foresight???) and the only '08 they had on the lot sucked! Extremely disappointing experience... and a sorry end to an almost-4 year relationship.
