    We took our Atlas in for service and had an appointment with our sales agent Victoria while there to consider a vehicle for our family now that hubby retired. He had been truck shopping and we planned to see trucks later in the day. Came home with a brand new Taos after he experienced its features. Not a truck!

    Excellent service experience - located remote part provenance with expeditious delivery to dealer. Only waited an hour for repair with very courteous service personnel interaction.

    I’ve frequented the Alamo Heights location for VW service a few times and I’ve always had the best experience. The staff is extremely helpful and go out of their way to answer any questions you may have and also provide recommendations based on any issues/concerns you may have regarding your vehicle.

    My vehicle was in service for over a month! I know all dealerships are dealing with delays due to parts & lack of employees, which I understand. But when you are not given any updates on your vehicle for weeks at a time it makes the already stressful process extremely difficult. Being without a car, updates & complete disregard for customer service is difficult. At one point my service advisor told me if I didn’t like it then I could just go pick up my car, which infact was impossible since I had to have it towed in.They have a system in which you are supposed to receive text updates but as one of the service managers said “it always glitches”. There’s no way to get a hold of anyone. Don’t try to call you’ll just get a call center that only takes messages that no one returns & don’t reply to the texts because as mentioned above it’s basically useless. Overall horrible experience! Just glad to have my car back. Oh & forgot to mention cherry on top- my car came back with a huge ding on the side full of white paint on my black vehicle that I know was not there before. But ofcourse no way to prove it & I’m sure if there was my car would probably be there another 2 months.

  • Bad console but great service

    Easy easy easy check in. The issue we had was the overhead console that controls the roof glass was found dangling. The screws had broken off and we were highly disappointed and thought we would have to drop off the vehicle for days to get this taken care of. I called and made an appointment with no issues. When we arrived they checked us in and the service advisor said he would check to see if they had the part in stock. After a few minutes he told us that they had it and they would take care of it right away. We thought it would take several hours so we went to pick up some food and then return to work but not even an hour after leaving we got a call and said the vehicle was ready. WOW, that was fast, easy and awesome. Highly recommend.

    Had a phenomenal experience there at Alamo Heights VW, I would recommend Wayne Johnson to family and friends. My experience there was vastly different from other experiences at other dealerships, he was not a pushy salesman and actually listened to my wants and needs from a vehicle ensuring I was in the best suited one possible.

  • Buying in Different Times

    These are some very different times we are in, & even more-so when it comes to Purchasing a Vehicle. Many (if not all) Dealership's are in this same unique situation, with Limited Stock availability, but even more affecting the Consumer, the limited ability to barter better deal's. We knew going in, that this was going to be a very tedious process, & we weren't even sure how we'd feel after it was done, but after all was done, we are Happy with Our decision, and the patience & assistance we received from Wayne was appreciated, as well as from His Management Team David & Jesus. Not sure if these are the best of times to make a purchase, but if You are in the market, and want to get as good a deal that You feel You can, please give them a Chance.

    Brought my wife’s Atlas in for service and was immediately greeted outside, escorted in, and seen by a service advisor after a short wait. They were clearly very busy however, they got me in and out fast, everyone had a smile, and the staff was very polite, courteous, and friendly. The service technician was honest and fair and the price was reasonable. We will definitely be back.

    It was a great experience as it is when I always go in to take my Vox to get serviced, only thing was that it was already done and I was still waiting there another 1hr, at least give me more than a couple of dollars on a discount GEEZ!

  • A/C Service

    I went in for a Customer Appreciation special for an A/C Checkup. About 3 hours after dropping my car off I received a text from the dealership that my car was ready. Included in the text was a write up about my A/C issue and other findings. Basically, they advised me the A/C wasn’t cooling at an optimal temperature (which is why it was there in the first place) and my first step would be $1800+ repair. I would never $1800 as a first step and hope that is works. Not exactly the answer I was hoping for but was the type of response you would come to except at a dealership. I was just hoping for a little cooler air but didn’t get it. I paid $35 and only got a car wash out of it. This is exactly while people are so hesitant to take their cars to a dealership unless they are under warranty. This was my first and last VW.

  • No safe ride

    Clock spring broken on my 2015 Passat , told me part is on back order could take several months to get , told me to pick up my car knowing my horn and airbags not functioning, now my wife is taking risk driving the vehicle- no steering controls airbag or horn , could have offered a loaner car since that’s my wife’s and kids only transportation to work , school and childcare, hope nothing happens.
