  • Works hard to save you money

    5 out of 5 starsby Quicksilver31 on 05/05/2017

I went in just with the idea that I might get a new vehicle. My salesman Matt Larson was helpful the whole way and not pushy at all. The finance worker Akim made sure that he got me the absolute best price that matched everything I was looking for. He greets me every time I walk in and treats me like family These two combined are a great team that will help you get exactly what you are looking for. I have bought several cars from Karl Malone Toyota and I will always get them from there. I am a life long customer
    • Quicksilver31, thanks for coming in and looking through our inventory of vehicles we offer. We appreciate your feedback about working with Matt and Akim. We want to thank you for your business and we look forward to working together again in the future.

  • Solid Customer Service

5 out of 5 starsby Tyjonboy on 04/13/2017

After touring Toyota dealerships around the valley, I found the best deal and most help hear. When I told them what I wanted they found it AMD doesn't try and sell me something else. Patrick was my guy and he was awesome! He answered all my questions and went over every single feature with me.
    • Thank you, Tyjonboy, for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are happy to hear about Patrick taking good care of you. Thanks again for coming in and working with us. We look forward to working with you again.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Bronson at the store. He listened. He was not overbearing. It was easy to come to a mutual and honest understanding of our needs and the dealer's requirements. I thoroughly intend on purchasing from not only from the store, but from Bronson in particular!

  • Easy to buy a car

    5 out of 5 starsby Lotus2s on 03/18/2017

We weren't really going to buy a car because we wanted to test drive another brand, but it was so easy, and we didn't feel pressured to buy. Liked the salesman, Chris Bullock, liked the car.
    • Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you coming in and working with Chris. We have a large inventory with a lot of different models. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks again!

  • Back their work

5 out of 5 starsby Drewboy on 03/14/2017

Blenda Bench is awesome to work with in as a service adviser. I had two warranty items on service they had done and they covered both of them, no questions asked. They do a 1 year parts and labor on their service. On most services their prices are as good or better than any local mechanic plus they wash my car before I pick it up too.
    • We really appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback on your recent experience with us. It sounds like Blenda was able to take very good care of you. Thank you for your business and we look forward to your next visit. Thanks again!

  • Best dealership ever

5 out of 5 starsby TendrVigilante on 12/07/2016

Karl Malone Toyota is the best dealership I have ever been to. The salesmen are very knowledgeable of each vehicle and if they don't know the answer the right away will find the answer out for you. Everyone is really nice there and not the fake nice that you get at other dealerships. And they will help you out however they can, not just to sell you a car but to make sure you are happy. I have gone to a lot of different dealerships and this is by far the best ever. I even got to meet Karl Malone one time while I was there, who I used to watch play basketball when I was younger which made this place even better.
    • Thank you so much for taking the time to give us feedback about your experience with us. We are happy to see that you feel this is the best dealership you have been to and we look forward to your next visit. See you soon!

I have been going to Karl Malone Toyota for almost 11 years! They do an excellent job and my Toyota is still running (same car purchased from them)! Great Staff members like Blender Bench & Karl Erickson are the reasons why I keep returning. They are kind, prompt, professional and detailed oriented! Aside from their professionalism, they always make me smile!! Thanks again ! See you soon!
    • Thank you for leaving us feedback on your many many experiences with us. We appreciate your business and allowing us to continually work on your vehicle over the years. Thank you and we look forward to many more years of working together.

    1 out of 5 starsby SLC_Buyer on 07/31/2016

Test drove a car at this dealersip. Could not get a price. Unresponsive and evasive throughout. Surprised Toyota let this crew have a franchise. I wlked out. You shouldnt walk in.
    • SLC_Buyer, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would like to get more information regarding you recent experience with us. At your convenience, please contact Amy Hind, our Customer Relations Manager by email at ahind@kmamauto.com or by phone at 801-553-5800.

    • I am sorry that was your experience. As a very satisfied customer, I suggest a new prospect immediately contact the relationship manager, Amy Hind, or Patrick, who is an up-front, efficient salesperson. I got all the information I needed in less than an hour and got a positive response to my counter-proposal in less than three hours.

  • Terrible Service

1 out of 5 starsby asmon on 07/29/2015

Saw an advertisement for a Volkswagen on KSL, called Karl Malone to make an appointment to see the car. Called them a second time to push the appointment back so my mechanic could take a look at the car. Drove from Eagle Mountain to Draper in order to check the car out. The person I scheculed the appointment with was unavailable, apparently, and so after about 10 minutes they told me that Michael would be right with me. 5 minutes later and he shows up, but doesn't have time to talk to me. Pushes me onto another associate Bob. Bob tells me that the car doesn't run, and that it's still on the tow truck. There were many opportunities for them to tell me that the car didn't work, but they waited until I was on-site (after waiting 20 minutes for a sales rep to see me) to inform me that my trip was completely unnecessary.
  • I WILL NEVER BUY FROM Karl Malone Toyota in Draper, Utah AGAIN.

1 out of 5 starsby misstawanda on 01/16/2015

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM Karl Malone Toyota in Draper, Utah AGAIN. I was sent a letter saying they wanted to buy my 2013 Toyota Sienna from me for $30,000 and 0% APR for 60 months. So out of curiosity of the deal we went to see Karl Malone Toyota. Britain, a fast talking salesman said he would be happy to help. They did not have the 2015 Sienna on the lot at the time. I said I would wait. That I do not want to buy a van I have never even driven. Ti the finance officer said if I did not like the van that they would null the contract, that it was “no problem”. They found one said it would be there in 4 days. Again I asked if I did not like the van would we be able to leave the deal. Again they said yes. Another gentleman that helped us I asked about the “no problem” getting out of the contract that Ti had said. His comment “he’s an honest man he will honor what he says.” OH YEAH RIGHT. The “papers” we signed was a little signature pad attached to a computer. So I did not get to see the papers until AFTER we had signed. On returning home I find out, NO they did not buy my van for $30,000 they decided to only give me $22,000. Their 0% APR turned out to be 3.99%. We called them up, we went up, Oh the person we needed to talk to wasn’t there, we went up the second day, Oh the it’s Ti’s day off; on the third try, Oh the van is finally there. (not on the day it was supposed to arrive. But 4 days later, and OH NO WE DID NOT MAKE ANY KIND OF PROMISE THAT YOU COULD GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT. I SAID NO SUCH THING. We hadn’t driven the car off the lot, yet we didn’t want the van. But can we get out of the contract. NO WAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE NOT TO GET SCREWED OVER BY THIS PLACE. BUY ANYWHERE BUT HERE. AND PLEASE SHARE THIS FOR MY SANITY’S SAKE. Linda
  • a tale of buying used and being Mislead.

Stereotypical dealership. Rope you in with promises so that you'll sign and then fail to follow through. Despite my gut instincts I purchased a used car from Karl Malone Toyota on 12/6/14. After a few months of attempting to find a lower miles second generation Subaru Forester one popped up on KSL from these guys. I went down there to see it in person, as I parked my car and got out to talk to a sales person I was approached by a nice kid, but a kid who had probably never sold a car in his life. His nervous giggle and terrible jokes were not a good sign... That being said he was nice and as helpful as he could be. He was not the issue. The Forester was a 2007 with roughly 97k miles in person it looked far worse than the photos but that wasn't too big of a deal I mostly just wanted a mechanically sound car that was in relatively good shape for the year. It had a little body damage here and there, the interior was missing a few little pieces and was (and still is) in desperate need of a complete thorough detailing. They were asking 8900$ which is a fair price for one in excellent condition. This one however is in the top end of poor bracket or the bottom end of good condition at best. I drove the car, i inspected it I decided I would make an offer based on its current condition and see what came of it. I offered 7500$ they played their games and finally told me 8400$ was basically the bottom line, I told them I wouldn't pay over 8k and it would have to be thoroughly detailed or I was going to have to pass. Basically the sales manager took my deal to keep me from walking out, and promised me that his "detail shop" would clean the car up really well.... I, like a fool trusted him. I don't want to assume but I think their "detail shop" consists of a 16 year old kid, a garden hose, a spray bottle of Armor All and maybe a vacuum. After doing all the paper work I get out to the car to see what could only be called a [non-permissible content removed] poor excuse of a "detailing" they had washed the exterior and the windows and wiped down the dash, if they attempted to vacuum I would be surprised. Now I admit I am partly at fault for putting my trust in a car dealership or the people who they employ... Lesson learned. But that being said they failed to follow through on their end of deal, and hence this long winded review. It's the principle of the matter, I can take the car to a proper detail shop and shell out 200$ to have it actually cleaned but I trusted that they could do their job and hold up their end of the deal when I agreed upon the 8000$ price tag. Had I known they were incompetent I would have said 7800$ and I'll pay a professional to clean the car. Like the previous person who reviewed them I was also charged a "theft registration fee" of 400$ which conveniently brought the car back up to what I negotiated down from In summary: Karl Malone Toyota should hire someone who actually knows how to detail a car, and maybe learn how to keep their promises while they are at it. I would strongly aside that you seek out a more honest dealer. I know I won't be going back.
  • Very Bad Experience!!!

1 out of 5 starsby glasairguy on 11/04/2014

I have to say that I am very disappointed, in the least, with the service provided on my vehicle. We brought in our Prius to get another key fob programmed. Everything worked fine when the car was brought in to get the work done. However, when we got the car back, the key remote computer was fried, and no programming on the key fobs was completed. However, we were charged $127 for service, and told we now needed an $800 computer. We were told the computer was defective and failed during programming. However, being both an electrical engineer and a skilled mechanic, I know that something externally would have had to short out the computer, either by a ground short or incorrect application of power. In any case, I now have a car that functions worse than when I brought it in, and was told that it couldn't have been the mechanics fault, and had to be a fault in the car. Which I know is not true.

I cannot believe how easy it was to make a purchase at Karl Malone Toyota. I was literally there for 2 and a half hours and they gave me $400 more for my trade than any other dealer offered. The whole experience was great! Thanks Karl Malone!
  • Customer service Mandy in accounting made this whole thing awful!!!!

    3 out of 5 starsby serenity118118 on 05/04/2010

If you value your customers I think that you should educate your employees there is a girl that works in accounting I think her name is Mandy she handles license plates. She is rude and ignorant. My husband and I bought a car March 20 2010 and nobody has called to let me know that "you" guys did not do an inspection on the car before it was sold to us. My husband and my father-in-law was on the paperwork. I was in constant communications with your company until my old car was paid off. Nobody had an issue talking to me until the license plate girl got involved. All it would have taken was her calling me and letting me know that I needed to bring the car in for the inspection. My husband works out of town and it is very hard for him to contact people while working (road construction). But is her words she would not leave a message on the phone number provided because it was mine. It was against the privacy laws. That is total bs. I want to know that you are going to handle this correctly. People should not have to deal with such stupidity.
  • Worst car buying experience ever!

1 out of 5 starsby hawkered on 01/31/2010

I do not suggest going to Karl Malone Toyota unless you like to get ripped off. I can't believe Karl Malone would even let his name be associated with this joke of a business. They will promise you whatever it takes to make a deal, then short you on all the promises they made and just deny them. Get every little detail in writing before you agree to buy anything. Part of the lies were because the salesmen didn't even know the product they were selling. I would hope if you are selling something with upwards of $50,000 price tag that you might do a little homework on just what you are selling. The sales manager uses the inexperienced sales staff as a front to pass the lies to you and then give him deniability, flat out crooked.
  • I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND buying a vehicle here

    1.5 out of 5 starsby sweetheart1 on 02/04/2009

After looking ad some great deals in their ads, we went to check it out what did we get, not what we were expecting. here's the list: 1. Told certified vehicles are warranty an additional 100,000 miles- fact only till vehicle reaches a 100,000 miles 2. toyota tow package would include everything toyota website listed that's why you should get there- got simple hitch not even toyota parts- would not fix the problem 3. wasted hours and hours waiting for vehicle to be ready even when told it was done 4.sales manager rude- cuts off your sentences, makes you feel like you're wasting his "precious time" sitting in the office, he also told us no 72hrs to back out 5. all paperwork was done 2X because they put incorrect address 6. told vehicle has many features that were never existed got the price wanted but does bot make up for the lies, time wasted, or sales manager rudeness overall, horrible experience, never will go back, disgusting customer care
    • I went there to get my touch up paint and gas card (big joke of a program by the way), which my salesman specifically said it was there waiting for me, quick in and out. He also said it was a preloaded card, lies! I ended up almost 1 hour there, wasting my time because they needed to talk to like EVERYONE in the store to find out what was going on! RIDICULOUS! I told the customer relations manager just mail the card because I don't want to come back because I hate it there. Last time I was there, missed an entire day of work, missed an appointment on a different day (waited for 4 hours), and today caused me to have more hours for my babysitter. Understand that this deal was Over 4 MONTHS AGO! And after months of calling & messages finally someone told me they couldn't send paint in the mail, so I have to pick it up, and they knew that the old gas cards given company out went out of business. Things they should have called the customers on or try to make it right. I already was upset over the horrible BAIT & SWITCH from the deal 4 months ago, which I felt forced into keeping the vehicle. I would gladly give the vehicle back if I could, they said I had no 72 hrs since the contracts were signed over holidays. I also wrote to the store manager at that time, but no response. All I wanted was an apology from the sales manager Chris, for being so rude, apparently they don't care about their customers! They just want your money, so I am trying to tell everyone I know what horrible service they have. Absolutely no compensation for your time they waste! HOW THE GAS CARD WORKS-you have to spend $100 each month with deadlines or you forfeit the card for that month, send in all your receipts from only a specific gas station and wait 6-8 weeks never received one
