    Finally, a new car dealership and sales staff that gets it! During April 2014, my wife and I purchased two new Honda Accords from Ken Garff Riverdale Utah. We only intended to buy one, however an inattentive driver slammed into the back of our new Honda while we were stopped at a red traffic light, creating a need to replace it with another. My wife and I were very appreciative that we were in our new Honda Accord, with the 5 Star Safety Rating, on the day of the accident. We both remarked that we believe we would have suffered extensive injury had the Accord not protected us as well as it did. Our original sales team consisting of Tyler B, David J and Isaac M were so helpful, professional, honest and efficient with the process of purchasing our first new Accord that when the first was wrecked in the accident, there was no question about returning to Ken Garff to purchase a replacement. I made one phone call to Tyler B, explained the circumstances and asked if he would be willing to replace my Accord with a new one at the same price and finance rate as we had paid for the first one. Tyler was very sympathetic to our situation and assured me that he would have a brand new, exact duplicate vehicle ready for us, whenever we were prepared to drive to the dealership and pick it up. I called Tyler in the morning a few days later and told him that we were ready to replace our wrecked Accord and asked how soon he could have the replacement ready. Tyler said he would have our new car ready and waiting for us that afternoon. The bottom line: I’ve never had a better experience purchasing 2 new cars. My first contact with Ken Garff Riverdale was with Tyler B. I had sent an email request to Ken Garff and two other Honda dealerships, requesting a quote and Tyler B called me that same morning , gave me a great out-the-door price and made arrangements for me to meet with his sales partner, David J. It’s interesting that of the three Honda Dealers that I emailed, I never even received an email or phone response from the other two, and one of them is less than a mile from my home. My wife and I met with David J at the appointed time, he had everything ready, walked us through the purchase process, introduced us to Isaac M, who quickly and professionally arranged the paperwork and loan information and had us ready to drive away in a few short minutes. Isaac M is amazing with the complex piles of paperwork, forms, financing and signatures required to buy a new car. His friendly, professional and patient approach made the experience easy to understand and we found ourselves surprised at how fast and simple the entire process was for us. I’ve never seen a more organized, efficient and friendly closing process. My wife loves her new Accord and we really appreciate Tyler B, David J and Isaac M as well as the rest of the staff at Ken Garff Riverdale, Utah for all they have done to give us a great price, excellent and compassionate service. We intend to return to them for all of our future purchases and service and recommend them highly. Craig & Susan T

    My wife and I felt very welcome and the Sales Reps and the Financial Reps were very professional and made us feel good being there. Really enjoy associating with these guys. Very great work and look forward to buy more cars from them in the future.

  • Buy a Honda Somewhere Else...Buyer Beware

    I have never been so offended by the business practices at a dealership before. My father was a car dealer and this was my first experiencing shopping the Salt Lake City area for vehicles. I went back and forth between Ken Garff Nissan, Christopher Nissan and was here looking for a Honda Pilot. We found the vehicle we were interested in and had the salesman start working the numbers. Another customer came in inquiring about the vehicle about 30-40 minutes after we came in, test drove the vehicle, and were working on a potential purchase. This man was working with another salesperson, Charlene V, and test drove the vehicle after us. They then proceeded to start paperwork with this other potential customer while we were working with them. We had a blank check and 110% LTV we were working with. They pressured us into filling out a credit application with them and having them run our credit to seek potentially better options. The finance manager stated that the inquiry wouldn't affect my credit score which was a lie. The dealership must make money on financing with certain financial companies as they were pushing this hard. While I was looking over the numbers I had them go back and tell them we could pay for the sales tax on the vehicle so we could work the deal with the LTV we had to work with and he stated he would go back and have them run the numbers that way. While he was "consulting" with his manager, I overheard the other salesperson Charlene V go back and tell the other guy that everything was approved and that they would have the same Honda Pilot we were trying to purchase ready in 20-30 minutes. The salesperson came back (I believe his name was Tyler) and stated that they couldn't do that because their "policy" stated they had to pay the sales tax and it had to be included in the final loan amount. I previously had two other Ken Garff dealers tell me this was fine and I ended up doing it at Christopher Nissan where I ended up buying my car. I argued that point with them, which they were firm was a "policy". I then asked to speak to the manager and they referred me to Andrew G. I spoke with him about this and he kept referring to the policy that they couldn't work the deal because I couldn't take care of the sales tax myself (which was incorrect). My main concern and upset was over the fact that they were lying to me the whole time when they already closed the deal with the other customer in the very next cubicle! Apparently this is business as usual with Ken Garff Honda of Riverdale. Very unimpressed and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

    Review: Employees: David Hunsaker, Charlene Veeder, Issac, Andrew Garcia Bought a 2011 Honda Insight Verify each and every statement or information they give you. They may not be honest all the time. Best method is to talk to them over email and avoid phone calls or keep it to a minimum as they regularly retract from their earlier statements or answers. Heard about Bait and Switch? Well they tried it all. Almost all tricks in the book. Offered a lower price, then said no availability, then when they locate one, they asked for 200USD transport charges which were nowhere talked about initially. Said the car is being transported from Nevada, when in reality they got the vehicle from a Twin Falls Dealer in ID. 300USD Documentation charges... all for no documentation. No efforts, no services. Asked them about a Loan from Honda Finance. They said sure, why not. Checked the credit history and said 2.99% APR for 5 years, loan is approved and only need to complete formalities. When the papers arrived, the APR was 5.5%! and loan term as 6 years... when I asked them about it.. they flatly denied they told me anything about 2.99% being approved!... Please go to them, if you want to feel like trash!... Oh btw, .. they have their own ppl writing great reviews for them!... so again... beware... Good luck with your Purchase!...

    We were in the market for a Black 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L. Shannon and Corey worked hard to find what we wanted and when they could not find the exact match they went the extra mile. Over 3 days of hard work we were able to get what we wanted at a good price. I was impressed with their communication keeping me updated and their willingness to negotiate over the phone. We are very pleased with the new vehicle and the great lengths they went to meet our expectations. I would recommend this dealership to my Friends and Family, give Shannon a call she is fun to work with.

    I am so happy with my new Honda Civic! Tyler was so helpful and Ken Garff Honda Riverdale was the only dealer that was truly honest on the price! IF you call other dealerships they say one quote and then when you write the check there are tons of other fees and taxes. Other will tell you that other lower prices are fake or that quotes were a lie. This dealership is the real deal and down to earth. This dealership is honest, flexible, kind, respectful and willing to get you the best price. If you want great, efficient, best pricing service in Utah and Idaho go to Ken Garff and ask for Tyler!

    Tyler was awesome to work with. Really put a lot into helping us find what we were after even though we didn't end up purchasing our vehicle there he was super helpful and very honest and easy going. Not the typical pushy sales person, will definatley go back for my next purchase.
