  • FRAUD VITIATES EVERYTHING

    This is a horrible dealership. The staff are incompetent from their mechanics to their management. They knowingly commit sales fraud, contract fraud, and insurance fraud. The Service Department manager, Pat Treanor, Is a horrible man and operates very dishonorably and fraudulently. This dealership has had physical possession of my car since March 07th. They sold me a warranty to car vehicle they knew they were unable to work on and when the vehicle began to have issues, Pat Treanor chose to look out for the dealership bottom line over honoring the warranty contract. Once they had possession of my vehicle, Pat continued to act dishonestly and chose to not be forthcoming with information I requested. In fact, I am being denied all information requested on the proposed repairs and was actually told that I have to agree to the repairs and pay for them before I can be told what those repairs are. I also have it on good authority that Pat Treanor committed extensive warranty fraud by filing false claims with the warranty company to pay for extensive repairs to his personal vehicle. He did this by forcing the paperwork through by falsely representing who the owner was of the vehicle on the paperwork. In addition, their technician recently accidentally drove a customers Tesla through their bay door. Due to the negligence of the staff at KIA since my car has been there, much damage has occurred to my vehicle. For starters; now there is a large scratch on my passenger front fender. Mice have turned my car into a happy home and have chewed up some wiring. The battery required replacing. Now, the dealership wants me to pay for the damage in order to work on my vehicle.FRAUD VITIATES EVERYTHING!!! 2017 My Alfa Romeo Giulia Q4 is literally rotting in their lot because they do not want to pay out of pocket to honor the warranty because they have to flatbed my car to a dealership that is capable of working on it.

    We made an appointment online for service, we dropped the car off they had no record of an appointment, we told them what we needed done, they did one thing right, they found an issue with the car and Shawn was supposed to order the part so we could get it fixed before we moved, well after 2 calls to Shawn , he didn’t even bother to call us back. Thanks Shawn! Please follow up like you’re supposed to. The service department really has no clue what’s going on, do not recommend bringing your car there. Oh and the day after our horrible service we get an email saying you missed your appointment. Really!!

    GO ELSEWHERE August 1, 2023 By Lisa from South Burlington, VT Awful service. My husband brought my car in to have my winter tires taken off and the summer tires put on. When the work was done, the tire sensor warning light was on; the staff told him to just drive the car 50 miles and it would go off. After 50 miles it did not go off, so I called Berlin city Kia 3 times and left messages and no one called me back. I called a 4th time and spoke with the service manager who assured me they would fix anything that they caused free of charge. I took my car in for them to fix the tire sensor and turn off the warning light and they called me later and were very condescending and basically said they were charging me $200 to fix it because they don’t believe they caused it. Interesting that I never had a problem with this until leaving their place after they serviced my car. I also emailed the general manager about how unhappy I was with their service and he never responded. A total scam. Their condescending attitude, unresponsiveness, unwillingness to own up to their errors and unethical business practices definitely do not align with their “worry free” mission statement.

    Had a great experience with Tom and Dedrick while purchasing my 2017 Nissan Frontier ProX 4! Prompt communication by text and email. We drove up from RI and the truck was polished up and waiting. Paperwork process was quick and smooth. I’d make the drive again!

    I had a horrific buying experience with berlin city kia and have been trying to get off their mailing/email lists since. You can click on the unsubscribe, you can call them directly, you can file BBB complaints.....the messages just keep coming. RUN from this dealer. Not a single thing they have told me (including that they've removed me from their mailing lists) has been true.

    If I could give them a negative star I would! I understand my situation wasn’t ideal or easy! But that being said they didn’t listen to me, kept trying to get me to buy vehicles I didn’t want, my sales agent was brand new and I don’t think he should have been on the floor yet! They continued to run credit apps after being told to stop! Our credit was ran 12 TIMES!!! Dropping my credit score significantly! Wasn’t communicated with very well. This place is awful! I love Kia but I HATE Berlin city! I will never recommend this dealership to anyone or ever consider using them in the future, I’ll drive 5,000 miles to a different dealership if I have too!

    When we signed the lease for the Kia that we purchased there was never any communication on length of the lease. We have always done a 36 month lease. When we received the bill for this lease it was for 48 munth lease. We would have never signed a 48 month lease. They are saying that it is too bad but it is done. I am doing what I can about it. I will never recommend them to anyone. **UPDATED-April 24, 2015** I wish to edit the evaluation that I did on the Berlin City Kia dealership. They have subsequently met with us. And taken action with us to clear the issues that we had they were very thorough and personable. We are very satisfied with action that was taken. And we can justify there quality and desire to satisfy there customers.
  • Power Door Issues

    We have a 2007 Sedona that is having power door issues. We have owned the car for 8 months and the last 4 months we have been at the dealer WEEKLY because they can not seem to fix the problem. I now have a claim open with Kia Consumer in hopes to get this issue fixed. The dealer continues to say the problem is fixed and we no sooner pull out of the parking lot the problem starts again. Or they say they can not duplicate the issue! So frustrated! We just picked the vehicle up Thursday night and the doors started jamming and not closing Friday morning. This after it was in there for a week to be fixed. We had just picked it up the week prior after it again being in there for another week supposedly being fixed. We have to pay out of pocket for a rental car because they will not cover it! We have been civil the whole time but now are beyond frustrated. Customer Service is awful.
