Yong Kim is awesome!
by Jay_7421 on 08/28/2018Yong Kim at Pohanka Acura is awesome.. On day one for our test drive, he explained every features of MDX and took time with me and my wife. When we asked to see many different colors of vehicles, he just accommodated our request and… friendly explained the plus and cons of each color. After the test drive, I felt very comfortable since he didn't push hard which I really appreciate. Since I should leave early, I asked him to email me a quote and he did within couple hours. His quote was very competitive and I didn't need to look further. The next day I purchased a new MDX with no hassle. The whole process time is more than 3 times less than my previous car purchase experience at other dealership. Yong is just awesome. If you'd like to buy Acura, just go see him.Excellent experience! We had been working with a number of different dealerships and went with Pohanka… because of the proximity, pricing and high level of service. We were impressed with the personal touch each of the different groups provided throughout the process. Whether it was Ziad helping during the financing portion, or meeting the service department or Faran giving us a thorough and knowledgeable presentation of the cars features - they covered all the bases! Rick Praml stopped by to introduce himself which we thought was a nice touch. Faran was conversational and a joy to work with. We would definitely recommend Faran and Pohanka Acura to friends!Best ever buying experience

Yong Kim's patience, courtesy, and breadth of knowledge resulted in my feeling that he genuinely wanted to do right by me, not just in the… sale portion but the subsequent ownership and driving part. He went out of his way to figure out my priorities and match them with the right car, and for an excellent price. The test drives were thorough, varied, and I drove away in my new TLX feeling confident. I will recommend him to friends without hesitation or qualification. Additionally, 'Flip' Carleton, Finance Manager, was fast, efficient, equally as professional, and made what is normally the least enjoyable part of the process -- hard as this is to believe -- actually fun. This is the 3rd Acura I have purchased from Pohanka, and by far and away the most fun, most relaxed, and best value all around. I have recommended Pohanka for years. Now I am going to add Yong Kim and 'Flip' Carleton to my must-have list. Great job!Excellent Customer Experience!

Our salesperson, Faran F, went above and beyond in finding the right car for us. Faran was… informative and patient, as he worked with us. Best part of the this dealership and our salesperson Faran, it was a no hassle experience. No gimmicks, no pressure to buy! We definitely recommend Pohanka Acura to anyone looking to buy or lease a car. Ask for Faran and you wont regret it!Great service!

by RashGowd on 05/11/2018Then we went back to Pohanka and the person treated us so badly by saying why we were not ready to pay and that he goes to some good salon and compared the car showroom to a salon! Ridiculous and we told him we will get back later and he… sarcastically told us that there's a Honda showroom next door and they are giving good prices. He told us that we shouldn't be looking at Acura. This was such a bad experience today! Posting on social media too.I WISH I NEVER STEPPED INTO THIS DEALERSHIP
by Santosh on 04/10/20181. Purchased vehicle on Jan 1 2018. Sales person was good and honest. Worked with Ziad Rahme on Finance, he totally lied about VSC contracts. 2. Requested cancellation of VSC on Jan 5, 2018 after confronting the lies. 3. Had to work with… different Finance Manager to fix the mess. Took a while to get account number from Acura Finance which delayed the process. Singed the Cancellation forms dated Jan 5, 2018 4. Received account number from Acura Finance Customer Service, sent the cancellation forms on Jan 22, 2018 with account number updated. 5. Acura Finance accounts shows refunds deposited in Jan 26, 2018 6. Acura Contracts customer service confirmed contract cancellations and refund issue on Jan 26, 2018. 8. Purchased another Contract from a different dealership on Jan 31, 2018. 8. Realized that I have not received full amount. Per contract, "On or before sixty (60) days: You may cancel this CONTRACT and receive a full purchase price refund," 9. Contacted again Feb 20, 2018 requesting explanation why sales tax is not returned. 10. Received response on Feb 22, 2018 saying "The tax was paid to the State of Virginia. The state does not refund sales tax on car purchases." 11. I am not an expert but I am hearing for the first time that Sales Tax will not be refunded by state. Requested state law/guidelines confirming the same. Never received a response. 12. Contacted Acura Contracts department for clarification, not helpful. 13. Contacted Acura Clients Relations and registered a case on Feb 23, 2018. They offered gift card for the inconvenience caused but were not able to provide state sales tax law reference. 14. Received a letter (dated Apr 5) from Acura Contracts that me recent Contract has been cancelled on Apr 9, 2018. 15. Contacted Acura Contracts department and they confirmed the request was from Pohanka Acura and they do not have a cancellation form authorized by me. 16. Also confirmed that the Sales Tax was returned on the previous cancelled contracts and I should have received entire amount according to contract terms and conditions. 17. Acura Contracts representative understood the mess Pohanka Acura has been creating and offered to try undo the Cancellation that was done without my consent. by Keith_RLX on 02/19/2018I recently leased a 2018 Acura RLX from Pohanka Acura. It is the fifth Acura from Pohanka and the third Acura that Yong Kim has been my sales representative. I have continued to receive very respectful treatment and what I feel have been… good deals on the vehicles. I would highly recommend Yong. I began by sending him an email with my request for information on a new 2017 RLX. We had several phone calls to discuss options. Yong was very honest with me about my options. I was quite upside down with my lease on my 2016 TLX. He recommended a 2018 RLX as the incentives were much better. After a test drive with Yong in a 2018 RLX I was very happy with the car. Even though it didn't have all the options that the 2017 RLX Advance had, the deal that I was offered was much more acceptable to me. I believe Yong worked hard with management to work out a deal that was acceptable to both Pohanka and me. They worked hard to keep me as a loyal customer. I've never felt any pressure to close the deal from Yong. I've always felt he is looking out for me and my needs. Yong has always been very friendly and has followed up with phone calls to ensure I was 100% happy with my new car. Many dealerships try to stack on the extras when you complete the paperwork with the financial department. This was not the case with Ziad Rahme. He explained all my options with no pressure at all. I highly recommend the team at Pohanka for your new car and service needs.Excellent experience leasing my new 2018 RDX

I asked them to take a look, and they said they would. They actually brought me out to my car and… showed me what was going on and what was important, and explained why. Only one of the recommendations from Radley was on the list, and they were not able to show me what Radley was talking about. This dealer has really restored my faith in the Acura brand and I will never go anywhere else again.Positive Experience

by disappointed2 on 10/27/2017My vehicle was brought 3 times to Pohanka Acura for a CV joint that is leaking a significant amount of grease. Each time the grease was cleaned off and I was told no problem found only oil residue. I brought it to a third party shop and… received confirmation that the joint was bad and now needed replacement due to noise present when driving, because damage from grease loss. The sales process was great, but lack of integrity from the service department and directly from the service manager (Mike Clancy), makes me reconsider ever doing business with Pohanka again.Tish & Ray are the best!! I love this dealership

It was time to sell the older MDX Tech and buy a new one. Phuong was… responsive; honest; and worked hard to get me the deal I desired. We closed in a matter of days. I purchased the MDX Tech along with the color I wanted & accessories. I highly recommend Phuong. And in doing so, will buy our next Acura from her as well. As good as the sales department is at Pohanka Acura, their service department is just as good; great hours; open 7 days/week; no appointments needed; loaners available. He went through the entire process of test drive, valuation of trade in, financing including pay off old loan and start new loan),… transfer of tags and registration (no DMV - yeah!), starting XM radio, walking me through the Tech package and even setting up my phone with the Bluetooth connection.Amazing Experience!!!

I absolutely love my car and so happy about my purchase. I purchased the new 2018 Acura TLX and have no regrets. The car offers more safety aspects than my first car as well as a lot of leg space. This car practically drives itself with the added functions they have. Definitely worth it.
