  • Problems with brand new car at 3 weeks

    My recent encounter with Olympia Nissan left much to be desired. The sales team was unhelpful and seemed more interested in making a quick sale than understanding my needs. We thought that there was a front camera on our new 2023 pathfinder sv with the premium package. I brought it up right before signing and Jordan assured my wife that it should be no issue getting one at stock price and then ghosted my wife. JB was helpful in resolving the camera issue. I discovered issues with the car I eventually purchased. The post-sale customer service was disappointing, with delayed responses and a lack of willingness to address my concerns. There is also a clicking sound that sounds like a clock coming from the engine/dashboard area which Hailey Newman said was concerning but didn’t have time to look at it right now. The entire reason we traded in our Honda was to avoid service appointments. We have had the car for three weeks and are already having electrical issues, to which Manager Shawn said to my wife, “well what do you want me to do about it?” We want a brand new car that doesn’t have issues already. Got an update, our cars left side air mix door is binding. My wife asked to simply just trade out the car for a different car on the lot. But, because she filled out a survey that Nissan sent her, JB told her that they lost money on the car because of her bad survey and that she was being vindictive and that she got a “good [non-permissible content removed] deal” on the car. What a great way for a GM to speak to customers. I don’t know which part of this car deal seems like a “good deal”.
  • Problem with financier

    I had a great experience with sales man Brandon Abbott. He got me what I wanted, and I am pleased with his customer service. I would give him five stars. I had a horrible experience with the financier Terry Taylor. He was all over the place with irrelevant information about his personal life, and was fast and confusing when going over paperwork. When asked questions about what we had or were about to sign, he became very aggressive and intimidating. At one point he told my partner, who was helping me, that he was not dealing with him and only wanted to speak with me. He then continued to cover up paperwork so my partner could not see what I was signing. He continued to pressure me to sign documents before I could go over them by continually tapping where to sign and asking me to sign as I was trying to read them. In the end my partner saved me $1000 in a pricing error that he caught, as well as a $500 charge for putting air in my tires and some kind of Rain-X on my windows that I was told would take 10 minutes. We declined. Overall we got a great deal, but somehow left feeling unsure and very insulted. I highly recommend dealing with Brandon Abbott and his father Mike Abbott, and I hope other customers are not pressured into signing something before they understand.

    Had the pleasure of working with Dan and he made the experience extremely pleasant. I was rather clear what I was looking for and what my price range was. Dan worked very hard to get the vehicle that I wanted into my price range and successfully got me into a great new car.

    I can’t say enough pleasant things about James and Terry at Olympia Nissan... From having the car warmed up, while offering me warm beverages made car shopping on a stormy PNW night a much more congenial experience. Beautiful car, solid deal and great customer service, how much more could you ask for?

    I got a text message claiming a special promotion for 4 oil changes. I went in and paid for it. When I went in for the 3rd oil change, they claimed promotion was only good for 2 oil changes and 3rd one I would have to pay again. After a lot of hassle, I was able to find the text message and the rep gave me the 3rd oil change for "free" (technically I already paid for it) and said he put in notes so I would not have to go through this for the 4th one. Now I am due for another oil change and they texted me a reminder. I asked them to check and see if they will give me my 4th oil change to avoid in store hassle...They are claiming again that it was only good for 2 oil changes. Waiting to see if they will honor their promotion.

    Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was asked if I wanted the car washed and vacuumed in which I replied yes. When I got the car back it looked horrible and was maybe half washed. I had to go “wash” my care after the service department supposedly washed it. How do I trust the service department actually performed the services I came in for if they cannot wash a car properly? I would recommend the dealership for vehicle sales but am a bit apprehensive about service.

    We had our first service visit with this dealership and were blown away by the way we were treated. The service manager met us at the vehicle and introduced himself and staff right off the bat. He was funny, and most of all, a genuine individual. He explained everything to us, and wanted to make sure the prices quoted by our salesman matched what was on his computer. The service was performed on-time and was done to our satisfaction. We were offered the salesman's car to drive while we were waiting. Prior to leaving, we were scheduled for our first complimentary service, and also informed about special competitive pricing for future service. They beat our previous dealerships prices by more than 25%.

    We have purchased over a dozen new vehicles over the years and have never been treated better than by the Titus Auto Group. We purchased a 2010 Armada from Bruce Titus Nissan when they were in Tacoma. When we were ready for our next Nissan, we found that Bruce Titus sold the dealership. We were able to track down our salesman at Olympia Nissan. Like the last purchase, Steve Perovich made the process a delight. We did our homework on line both times to narrow down our purchase. When we were ready, we made contact. In both cases, Steve found exactly what we wanted, and gave us a very fair price. There was never haggling or going back and forth to talk to a manager. We never felt pressured or that we were being screwed. The finance department was awesome to work with, and they went into a lot of detail with our warranties and other financial items. We will be considering purchasing another vehicle later this year, and if we do, we will go back to Bruce Titus. I think it helped us by researching the vehicles on the Internet, but most of all, we were so pleased that our sales person actually knew the vehicles inside-out. Too many sales people don't know their vehicles.

About our dealership
