Lies and more bogus issues
by James on 04/23/20251- Bringing your own financing is apparently a major issue here. They tried two different ways to force me to go through them for financing. First they tried to tell me my preapproved financing bank would not allow me to purchase the type… of vehicle I was. Called my bank and that was proven to be a falsehood. Then at the last minute, after we had already signed purchase documents, they come and tell me the sales manager will not let me leave the lot with the vehicle with the outside financing. The claim was they had to have the EFT transfer before the vehicle could leave. I'm told I will either have to get the vehicle delivered or use their financing. Given I had driven over two hours to get this vehicle they knew I was not going to come back and planned on driving it away that day. So, I was thus forced to use their in-house financing which resulted in more hits on my credit report and a higher monthly payment. Thank ya'll SOOOOO MUCH! And yea I know for a fact you didn't have an EFT transfer from your in house financing when I left in the vehicle yesterday, so more bogus lies. 2- Used a few minor issues with my trade in to knock thousands off its trade in value, even though it was in pristine condition and everything had been professionally repaired. Just as many things wrong with the vehicle being purchased (dings, scratches, etc.), but that is different, I guess! A couple of trim clips and 30 minutes work to resolve the issue that cost me thousands on trade in value. SMH 3- Did not include floor mats. Are you absolutely freaking kidding me?!?!?! Purchase a $66,000 vehicle and you cannot put some floor mats in it?? Ridiculous!GARBAGE
by Jason E on 10/24/2023Bought a used car here on Labor Day. Took the car on a predetermined test drive route directed by our salesman. . Everything seemed to be in good working condition so we bought the car along with a warranty that the finance manager said… was REQUIRED before the bank would approve the loan. It’s was fairly cool temps so we didn’t run the AC on the way home only during the 10 min test drive. The next day was very warm so we used the AC and approximately 20 mins into the drive, the AC quit working. I called the dealership and scheduled a service appointment. They said the AC compressor was bad and replaced it. The next day the AC starting doing the exact same thing it was doing prior to changing the compressor. They diagnosed it AGAIN and said the expansion valve was actually the problem and they would need over $2000 to repair and warranty would not cover. The part is fairly cheap but they don’t want to eat the labor costs. I’ve reached out my phone and email and no one will return my calls. This is the service you receive when you buy a car from these people. Honesty and integrity are not found at this dealership , I’d continue looking somewhere else before buying ANYTHING at Lemans Chevy.Tire balancd
by Bennett on 05/24/2023I came in for a tire balance, tires and wheels are brand new, aftermarket and came mounted and balanced, but they started shaking the steering wheel at 70 mph. After waiting 2 hours for a balance, they shake worse than before I came to you,… now they start shaking the steering wheel and gas pedal at 50 mph, and Much worse at 70 mph. Several weights were added to all 4 wheels, and he made them shake worse. Also as soon as I got home, checked the lug nuts (torque spec is 140 ftlbs 2015 Sierra), my torque wrench only goes to 200, and that stil would not break them loose. I had to use my Impact just to break them loose, one by one, then torque them to spec. I called and talked to Alvania Stork, she said, (oh no thats not possible, our Senior Tech was the guy who did your balance and he torques everything to spec), and continued to argue with me that I was wrong, even though I had the proof/torque wrench in my hand. So 2 hours of my time and $100 dollars for my wheels to shake worse then before. How can your Senior tech call them good and send them out the door, worse than they came in???? When we have tried to get appointments dealing with a recall issue, they insist that we bring the car in first thing in the morning and they will work on it whenever.… We're expected to leave it indefinitely which is very inconvenient since we live 40 miles from the dealership. A recall is something that is not our fault in any way and one would think your dealership would want to stand behind their products and make things right at the least inconvenience to your customer, not the most inconvenience. Interestingly, any of the GM dealerships in Pontiac, IL can give us an actual appointment for said recall needs, at any time of the day, and give us an idea of how long they'll need the vehicle. However since our service plan was purchased through your dealership, other service matters should and need to be scheduled with your service department. Your schedulers make no effort to take into consideration that we are coming some distance for said work and are at your mercy while it's being performed. Yes, you have a shuttle service. But what do you expect us to do while you have our vehicle tied up for hours? Even if we have another appointment that day, that will only take a short amount of time. This cavalier attitude about the value of our time will definitely factor into whether we purchase another vehicle from your dealership. If giving good customer service isn't at the top of your list, why would we want to shop there again in the future? They do fine at the express lube part of the department, but any more complicated service is very unsatisfactory. During our visit, my husband had requested that they listen to the engine department for a clicking sound that he had noticed. I was informed that the technicians in the oil change area aren't qualified to do anything besides oil changes and tire rotations. Anything else requires a prior appointment on the regular service side and that's where the scheduling problems occur. They want the car first thing in the morning, whether it's for a recall, a service to be performed, or a problem to be investigated. They won't necessarily address it first thing in the morning, but they require the car to be tied up first thing and for an indefinite, undetermined time frame. At their suggestion, I had the most recent recall issue taken care of at a Pontiac, IL dealership. They scheduled an early afternoon appointment, told me it would take less than 30 minutes to fix, and had the car done in said time. Maybe that's where we will shop for our next purchase.W Clev

This time we were looking for a truck and he was able to have trucks… from other Leman lots to test drive before we even arrived. He gave us honest feedback and answered all of our questions. We had 2 of our younger children with us and he made us all feel at home, even with the kids being a bit difficult at times. I really appreciate Tom and that is why we continue to go back to him over and over. Adam was the Finance rep and he was great too. He has helped us with other purchases as well. by Not Hoodwinked on 11/15/2021Normally I’m not the kind of person who writes reviews, but a bad service experience will do that to you! Here’s my story: I took my Chevrolet Impala in for a regular oil change. I also had a tire that had been losing some air so I asked… that they take a look at it too. I left and when I came back the service rep told me that the service tech had noticed that the passenger side back fender had been scuffed. The rep also said that the tech had found a hole in the sidewall of the tire he checked and that holes in the sidewall of a tire are not repairable. The rep said that a replacement tire would cost me $250 to replace and that they recommended that I replace both tires on that axel at a cost of $500. The rep also indicated that I could make an appointment with their body shop to buff the scuff out at my expense. I did neither. The following week I contacted the service manager and discussed my service experience with him. In the interim I had my tire patched at a local service garage as the hole was in the center of the tread and it cost me only $19. I also explained to the manager that I was certain that the scuffing wasn’t on my fender when I brought my vehicle in as I had just filled my car with gas right before coming to my appointment at the gas station across the street. The gas door was right in the middle of the scuffed area and I would have noticed it. He said that he would review the dealership cameras to see what might have happened and that he would also speak to the service tech about his misdiagnosis of the hole in the tire. He indicated that he would get right back to me. It has has been over 3 weeks since he made that promise to me and he still hasn’t gotten back with me.Great experience!

I spoke with Jacob at 2:41pm He told me the car was available. He gave me the warranty information. He… said he would have the car pulled up front and see me around 6:30pm or 7pm. So I get there I met Jacob, who introduced me to Colin. Colin lets me know the vehicle isn't available.......this is terrible customer service.
