Dodge Durango technology falls short
Bought a new Durango R/T in late March 2021. Had it back to the dealership 3 times in two weeks for service right after I took delivery of it. The new Uconnect 5c 10.1 inch infotainment system is full of glitches and flaws. The first issue was lights inside the vehicle would not power down which ran the battery dead. Took it back to the dealership and they had to do a full reset on the infotainment head unit to get the system/interior lights to power down properly. Took it back the next week two different times for more issues related to the Uconnect system. No traffic and weather available from the new TomTom navigation system, no way to set up driver profiles, multiple issues in the system saving settings for the radio, apple car play, and bluetooth. Dodge and FCA have no sense of urgency to get the system fixed. They say it requires a software update to fix the multitude of issues, but they cannot/will not say when the software update will be available. They first said it would be available in the first quarter of 2021, then said it would be available in the second quarter of 2021, and now they are saying sometime this year. I cannot believe that FCA would put this infotainment system on the market with their vehicles without first testing and fixing all the flaws. Very disappointing. Should have bought a Japanese or Korean vehicle with more reliability and attention to quality detail.
My 2021Durango R/T
***Update: 24,300 miles, 32 mos of ownership and Durango still trouble free. Also averaging 20 mpg hwy at speed of 70 to 75 mph. ++Update: 17,000 miles, 20 months of ownership and Durango is still problem free. The Sirius was finally reloved.** Wanted an SUV with ample towing capacity. The Durango R/T is in a class by itself. I purchased a new 2021 model in Jan 2022. In addition to being able to tow my Polaris Ranger UTV, this vehicle is just fun to drive. I love the fact that Dodge kept actual buttons to control climate and media/radio instead of everything being thru the Uconnect System. I'm hoping that non-towing gas mileage improves a couple of mpg better than the combined 15 mpg I'm currently getting. I've only driven 7,000 miles during 8 months of ownership. So far the only thing that has not worked is Sirius Vehicle Condition Report that is to be each month. A case is open for the this problem that Sirius can't resolve. They had me go to the dealer a couple of times but problem still not resolved. This is not a deal killer for me as long as the Durango cranks and runs without any problems.

Great vehicle
R/T with Tow & Go is basically SRT with 5.7 Hemi. Great interior, acceleration, audio, towing.

Goes great. Stopping... that's another story
Had a 2021 R/T with the Tow and Go package build, ordered it fully loaded in June 2020, took delivery December 2020. Beautiful car, sounded amazing, rode like a dream. Six months later, the car began to shake. Went to the dealer, said it was tires out of balance. Didn't fix the issue. Went back twice more, finally diagnosed that the rotors had warped. Dodge refused to help, cost to repair was $3800. Could not trust the vehicle any longer, so sold it. Not only was the vehicle a massive disappointment, the treatment by Dodge was appalling. This was my second Durango, my first, a 2013, I put over 120,000 miles on it with no problems. Which is why I bought the second. Apparently the quality control is not what it used to be. Avoid this car.

Very happy with 2021 Durango R/T
Very solid feel driving. Great steering wheel feel. Very responsive acceleration. Well appointed interior- all of the creature comforts. 3rd row seat welcome and easy to set up and lay flat. Just had it out in a 2’ snowstorm - handled excellently.
