I bought this truck in June, with 32,000 miles, to pull a 32' toy hauler 5er'. The only major issue so far is the DPF clogged at about 40,000. This is the second HD I've owned; the other was an 04' 5.9 2X4 automatic. Stock, the 6.7 has much more grunt and this driveline is superior in all respects. All the complaints about emissions, fuel economy and injection systems are common across the big 3. Don't harp on Dodge-Cummins builds these engines and Uncle Sam demands clean tailpipes. As for fuel economy; with mandated ULSD I bet you won't get mid 20's out of the 5.9 anymore, either; in fact, I don't remember getting above 20 in my 04'. Don't buy into driving harder to kill C.E.L.-lazy dealer.

Great driving truck, but can not trust driving it and pulling my rv. I have 33,000 miles on diesel and have replaced the turbo. Particle filter, ac, brake and steering lines and cleaned EGR value twice. The dealer charged $529 for cleaning even though cleaning is recommended at 67,500. It stays in shop for repair often. Think I need new exhaust system, any thoughts appreciated.

I'm really enjoying my 3500 Dually with the Resistol package. Read the manual, waited 1,000 to tow and it pulls my 3-horse 26 ft trailer like a dream. Tip out mirrors a must for towing. Exhaust break a little rough on the horses but it will whoa the truck down in a heartbeat. Only complaint so far is engine light goes on and off - apparently I don't drive it hard enough and the turbo is not able to work properly. Was told by the dealer to drive it like a race care - much to my wife's chagrin. Very comfortable. Ride a little stiff - it's a heavy duty truck so I expect that.
Do not buy this vehicle!

We purchased this vehicle in Feb, 3 days after we bought it we were having to be towed, a hose broke and all the antifreeze ran out, got that repaired, check engine light came on, took in wire harness had to be replaced, 2 weeks later check engine light came on again, they had clean the EGR vlv and EGR Cooler, replace the particulate filter and do a mobile sute cleaning. exactly one month later, same thing, same repairs, one month later same thing same repairs. We only get MAYBE 14 mpg. If Chrysler doesn't do something about this truck they will see it in the middle of their show room floor SOON! From what I hear, this is a problem with all these trucks!

I thought I was getting a good deal. A mint full load truck with every option and low mileage for a reasonable price. I was wrong. I use it to pull a 30 foot trailer with kids and dogs. Then the drivers side tie rod breaks. wheels point in opposite directions. tie rod goes through inside sidewall of tire. Dodge will not pay for tire or towing. I will trade this truck for any other kind of truck and be better off. I learn from mistakes and will never buy a Dodge truck again.
