The new Crown Victoria has several design and mechanical innovations for 2003 that improve its ride and handling, but it will always be what it has always been - a large, traditional, body-on-frame, rear-wheel drive sedan that comfortably transports 5 or 6 adults. It is excellent value for the money it costs, and maneuvers in city traffic more nimbly than one would expect of a car this size.

This car replaces an 11 yr old, 1992 Saturn SL2. It is intended to be another long term car (10yrs min). Very good highway ride with crisp handling, and surprisingly nimble around town too, thanks to the new rack and pinion steering and suspension improvements. Low rumble from exhaust during warmup indicates need for slightly more underbody sound deadening. Exceptional room in the front for tall drivers, but rear seat leg room could be better. Controls are well laid out and visibility is very good. Leather seats don't provide enough grip during hard cornering, but are reasonably comfortable on 4 hour trips.

This is my 3rd Crown vic in the past 11 years. Being tall (6'3"), I need a larger car. The leg room is great! The new bucket seats in my LX Sport are very comfortable and suportive. I have traveled for as many as 8 hours at a time, no back pain no muscle cramping. Traction control is wonderful. Compared to the 92 and 93 Crown Vic's I have ownered, excellent skid and "fishtail" control in snow. Great for a full size long wheel based rear drive car. Quality has been excellent during my first year and 31000 miles, no problems what so ever. I'd recommend this car to anyone who wants a full size sedan!
