Very Disappointed In FORD!

I own a 2014 Ford Escape. I have had nothing but issues with it. I have had issues with the transmission and now my instrument panel is going out and Ford WILL NOT fix it. They say because it was manufactured in 2013 it is not covered by the recall on the 2014!! This issue clearly says in the recall that it is unsafe as you can no longer tell the mileage, tire pressure, cannot receive any messages, and cannot tell what gear your car is in. Ford should back up their products period! There are two other outstanding recalls, one for the door latches and another for a issue with a part on the engine that can catch fire...but there is NO FIX for it! Are you kidding me?? Now these issues are going to cost a fortune to address. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD! I Will let everyone that is interested in buying a Ford not to! I had called the ford motor corporate office in Detroit and was treated pretty shitty! I do not have the funds to repair these issues with my instrument panel. I have pleaded for them to fix the issue to no avail. Very Disappointed! DO NOT BUY A FORD!!!

After 14 months of having the same repeated problems (in for service 20 times, over 45 days) and no fix! This Escape had the worst gas mileage (kept all receipts) average 14 MPG (mostly highway driving). Continual lies from Ford, never provided loaner, clear lemon, management couldn't care less, got hard balled once we mentioned getting an attorney because they couldn't fix and refused to replace. We finally did hire an attorney. Ford was ordered to repurchase! We were lifetime Ford family, now driving my 3rd Explorer, son drives a Ford Focus, and then this piece of junk Escape for my wife. WE WILL NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN! God help you if you have problems. Their propaganda is: "#1 priority is customer satisfaction" I assure you, in our case, that's BS when they can't fix it. Ford will drag you through hell!

We have enjoyed the car, it does what we want and have no complaints. No issues. We also have a 2014 CRV ex, same story.

Never broke down, but.... CV joints, wheel-bearings, or something in the front-end began howling at about 50K. Never actually diagnosed, but the noise is consistent with that type of thing, and in any case its LOUD. Now 62K, and wipers turn on randomly, blower motor went out, and when it gets real cold the radio and rear back-up camera don't work. Tires are good and rated at 60K. One got a hole in it but still went to 58K+, and the other three are still going strong. ***Update*** 89,000 miles: all above problems plus a door/door-lock issue were fixed either under warranty or as factory recall. After sitting for 3-4 weeks, the radio would no longer keep time after being set. After one day, it mysteriously fixed itself. Where the driver's side metal rear-quarter meets the plastic rear-bumper molding, it is falling out of alignment. A minor cosmetic issue. Still never broke down, good reliable car that I plan to keep. ***Update*** 96,000 miles: replaced battery since last entry.

At 67,000 miles I had to rebuild my engine ($6,000). The timing chain broke, should not break! At 105,000 miles, my transmission went out. Guess what ford did...NOTHING! I have never had such awful service from 2 different dealers
