Overview

The 2026 Ford F-350 is the middle child of the F-Series Super Duty pickup family. Its towing and hauling capabilities are superior to those of the F-250 but not the F-450. It's available in single and dual rear-wheel configurations and as a chassis cab ready for job-specific upfitting, but it offers several clever innovations to make even big jobs easier. Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, for example, automatically backs the truck up to a trailer and positions the hitch ball under the receiver at the push of a button. There's also Ford's Onboard Scales feature. It uses sensors to measure suspension squat to estimate the weight in the bed as users load the truck, displaying the approximate payload on the infotainment screen and on the FordPass app.
Edmunds spotlight: Built for work
While the F-350 can be luxurious — particularly in the King Ranch and Platinum trim levels — job one for these trucks is work. In certain configurations, the F-350 can tow up to 28,000 pounds with a conventional bumper-mounted hitch or an outlandish 38,000 pounds with a gooseneck trailer hitch. That's enough to pull the heaviest and biggest of loads, whether it be a recreational camper trailer or a trailer loaded with jobsite construction equipment.
Competitors to consider
The heavy-duty truck segment is the exclusive domain of domestic brands, with the Ram 3500 and the related Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 3500 the only alternatives to the F-350. The Ram's nicest interior tops the Ford's for sumptuousness, but no competitor can beat the F-350's towing and hauling capabilities.
Which F-350 Super Duty does Edmunds recommend?
Picking an F-350 largely comes down to what you want out of your heavy-duty truck. But we think many owners will be satisfied with the Lariat. It's nicely equipped with features such as heated and ventilated front seats, a Bang & Olufsen audio system and synthetic leather upholstery, and it's still reasonably priced.
