2025 GMC Acadia Consumer Reviews

An Exciting Experience
Have purchased only SUVs in the past 35 years. The Acadia is not a totally new experience as it does have some similar desirable characteristics that led me to consider. Size, seating & 4 wheel-drive were important, but interior quality and comfort are also high and comparable to the Denali SUVs we enjoyed in two previous GM purchases. Fit and finish are high and the quiet ride in traffic and on x-way is excellent. The electronics are current and give the vehicle the capability to deliver a lot of "hands-free-utility" allowing driver to focus on the road. I have leaned on navigation systems to help assist our travels for almost 25 years and the system in this vehicle is easy to use and with its large screen and data display instills a lot of confidence for the operator. Hope it will do so in large metro areas like Atlanta and Dallas where the roads seem to never be the same month to month. My only concern is the 2.4 liter engine, a real step-down from the 6.2 liter SUV. It seems satisfactory in the city and for cruising on x-ways, but in desperation mode, when a burst of speed is desired, it sounds like it is working very hard.
Technology
I love the 2024 Acadia because of the many safety features, spaciousness and the large center console. The technology is pretty good too except for the charging pad. My phone can barely be on there for an hour before it shuts down due to overheating. Also the lane assist is annoying then helpful. I had to turn it off because I either fighting with the car or it was driving like a drunk. Otherwise have loved my new ride so far.

WOW! What a pleasure to drive
I had purchased my 2021 GMC Terrain SLT in Nov 2020 and like it, but it was not quite roomy enough with my 6'2" 240 lb frame sitting in the driver's seat. Then I saw and read about the 2023 Acadia being put on steroids and creating my longer, wider and taller 2024 Acadia, so I went to a dealership to sit in and drive one to see for myself. Wellll, 3 hours later, on June 24th, 2024, I was driving my new 2024 Crystal Metallic (looks like Eggplant color and real pretty), Acadia home. The seats are very comfortable and has a ton of room. Rides smooth and gets "on it" when you have to pass another vehicle. The 2.5 L 338 HP beats my 2021 Terrain w/1.5 L and 170 HP hands down. I just installed some GMC floor liners, and they look so nice. It's taking a while to learn all the icons and the fact that the Acadia doesn't come with a printed Owner's Manual was not to my liking, although you can call it up on the 15" main screen and read it online on mygmc.com. My salesman even went waaaay out of his way to print me a 373-page hard copy and put it in a 3-ring binder....making it really easy to read. UPDATE: I purchased my GMC Acadia in June 2024. I just hit the 4800-mile mark and have made some observations that are just a bit aggrevating. The 15-inch control panel big and easy to see, but sometimes requires touching the icon 2 to 4 times before a chosen icon will activate, such as when I touch the driveway gate icon. I think the pad of your finger has to touch it just right. Also, the icon for changing radio seems to have a mind of its own, when I want to change from FM to Sirius and visa-versa. We really enjoy the ride of the Acadia and comfort of the seats. There is plenty of room in the back to haul just about anything you need.

Best 3 Row SUV on the market! 2024 GMC Acadia AT4
Just purchased an 2024 AT4 this week. I test drove nearly every mid size and large size 3 row SUV on the market. The Acadia AT4 combines function and form better than the Grand Highlander, Lexus TX, Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot, Acura MDX, Ford Expedition, Chevy Tahoe, etc... The interior is on par with a Lexus and has better functionality and comfort than SUVs costing $15-$20k more. The ride quality is excellent and the engine is hits the sweet spot for HP and torque. I got mine in Volcano red with the Luxury Package and Super Cruise. Time will tell how great, but so far the best in the market.

Perfect For What I Was Looking For
I had a few requirements for the next vehicle I purchased: it had to be comfortable and good for long road trips; as an EMT/Firefighter, it needed to be able to do well when responding with inclement conditions; it had to have the latest technology and it had to look sharp. I must have spent 6 months researching every three row SUV out there. The GMC Acadia was not on my list mostly because of the historically negative reviews from the likes of Consumer Reports and Car and Driver for any GM product. I am so glad I ignored both of these biased publications and chose the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4. The All-Wheel Drive System and elevated ground clearance will get me through the deepest snow. The technology is very advanced. I love the built in Google Maps and the large main interface screen. Super Cruise is a dream. We just took a 3,000 mile roundtrip to Florida and the Super Cruise worked perfectly - it was a pleasure to rest both my arms and legs while driving. The seats were very comfortable in both the first and second rows. There is even ample space in the third row if you need to transport additional passengers. While the engine does whine slightly on hard acceleration, while cruising the car is very quiet. The sound system sounds fine. The all-terrain tires have great grip but tend to be a little noisy. I'd change them for better tires when the time comes. This is a perfect vehicle for what I was looking for. Before you decide on one of the "highly rated" consumer reports vehicles I recommend you give the Acadia a look. GMC has done an excellent job with this vehicle.
