I love my 2019 sierra elevation!
I think if you like the (true truck feel) the 19 limited elevation is a good option! When driving this truck I really get the feel like I am driving a tryed and true real pickup truck. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but it leaves room customize it and make it your own! I added a dual exaust,Toneau cover, rims and tires, rain deflectors, cold air intake, and seat covers! It’s a very affordable truck, has plenty of power with the 355 hp 5.3 v-8, drives and feels like a real truck , has my preferred options, and the good ol floor shifter makes it feel like a true 4by4! I can’t be happier!

Not as good as it looks
I purchased a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited model in August of 2019 with 11km on the clock. At first, I was happy with the truck, it is a comfortable truck to drive (however not as comfortable as the RAM with independent rear suspension) and it came well equipped in my opinion for a base model 4x4 work pickup. I love the styling on this truck, and there are some real nice features that i think made it a better choice than the RAM 1500 classic and the base F150. That was until I began getting the transmission issues. At 40,000km the Transmission failed- Threw a code and Tow/Haul mode stopped working and It had issues down shifting and slamming into gear from 1st-2nd etc. On warranty the exchanged the Torque converter to fix the problem. 200km later same issue. Next warranty attempt to fix the transmission involved replacing the torque converter and a few sensors inside the transmission. Once again it failed within a day of coming out of the shop. I made a fuss and had the dealer install a completely new transmission. That solved the problem for 20,000km before it failed as well. When I asked the service technician what another sierra in the parking lot was in for he told me "Transmission Failure." The bottom line is that the 6 speed transmission in this truck is not a good transmission. When working correctly it shifts hard and lags. I sold this truck after 112,000km of mileage, 2 transmission failures and several emissions system failures. After reading about it more, many people have had the same transmission issue and GM has done nothing to solve the problem.
