Had better cars
Well we bought our passport at 6 years old and it seemed to be a nice car. it was valued at $12,000 and we brought them down to $9,000. After 4 days the transmission went out. Then after 6 months the transmission was not working right again. we waited a year to get the money to get a new one. It is acting up again! the windshield wiper motors and linkage have been replaced multiple times. The car does have power when you need it. 4 wheel drive works great when transmission is working. Love to drive it.
2000 Honda passport and ethanol gas
Do not mix, ever since they changed the gas to having ethanol in it my Honda dies on me and stalls like crazy and I read in the owners manual that it says not to run methanol or ethanol in it otherwise it will have mechanical malfunctions. I do not recommend getting this vehicle since they are changing the gas to having ethanol in the gas. But all around besides that problem I like it a lot but with all the problems I think I am gonna get rid of it. Do not buy it!
Very good vehicle
I have had this vehicle for 5 mos now and I've never been unhappy with it smooth ride, gas mileage average, comfortable driving, everything conveniently placed to reach, worth the used vehicle price, affordable.
Rodeo in Disguise
So far, I've loved this truck. Got a good deal on a used one from Car Max. It's size is big enough to seat 5 comfortably but not too big to fit in the garage. It is an Isuzu Rodeo so I don't understand how this could rate so poorly when the Rodeo rates better than average. Gas mileage could improve but that can also be worked out with minor upgrades to your engine oil, spark plugs and air filter (and a "Tornado"). Pick up is not apparent until you really need it and then it gets up and goes. Overall a very nice truck.
Get a Pilot
This vehicle obviously does not have the same level of craftsmanship as other members of the Honda line (it's a Rodeo). While the exterior is attractive, the inside is cheap, the ride is excessively soft, and gas mileage is not good. With 4WD off the back end really wants to step around on me during acceleration. On the plus side I have not had any mechanical problems in three years and 20k miles. However, I am selling it and getting a Pilot (a true Honda).
