2024 Honda Passport SUV Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2024 Honda Passport is available in EX-L, TrailSport and Black Edition trim levels. A 3.5-liter V6 engine (280 horsepower, 262 lb-ft of torque) is standard and pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Keep reading for our breakdown of the Passport's significant standard and optional features.

EX-L
Starts off the Passport range with:

  • 20-inch alloy wheels
  • Power liftgate
  • Sunroof
  • Heated side mirrors
  • Proximity keyless entry and ignition
  • Remote engine start
  • Three-zone automatic climate control
  • Leather upholstery
  • Heated, power-adjustable front seats
  • Driver's seat memory settings
  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration
  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • Seven-speaker audio system

Every Passport also comes with:

  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
  • Forward collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)
  • Adaptive cruise control (can maintain a driver-set distance between your vehicle and the car in front)
  • Parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)

TrailSport
Adds a more rugged appearance, plus:

  • 18-inch alloys with all-terrain tires
  • Roof rails
  • Off-road-tuned suspension
  • Power-folding side mirrors
  • Rear side window sunshades
  • Navigation system

Black Edition
The street-strutting luxury counterpart to the rugged TrailSport, the Black Edition features:

  • Black-painted 20-inch wheels
  • Black exterior trim, grille and moldings
  • Hands-free liftgate
  • Perforated leather upholstery
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Heated rear seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • 10-speaker premium sound system

Which Passport trim does Edmunds recommend?

This really depends on your use case. If you're the outdoor adventure type, the TrailSport is the good choice. It's not much more expensive than the base EX-L, and it adds navigation and a few other useful features. Otherwise, stick with the EX-L for the best value. Even though it's the base trim, it still comes with some upscale features such as leather upholstery and heated front seats.
