Trim level differences
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra is available in four main trim levels: SE, SEL, N Line and Limited. The Elantra Hybrid and the high performance Elantra N are reviewed separately on Edmunds. The regular Elantra SE, SEL and Limited trims come with a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. The sporty N Line has a 201-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Which Elantra trim does Edmunds recommend?
We recommend the SEL trim for the best value. It adds a handful of welcome convenience and entertainment features over the base SE. The only bummer is that it doesn't come standard with traffic-adaptive cruise control but you can still get it as part of the SEL's optional Convenience package. Don't overlook the Elantra Hybrid either. It's actually preferable to the regular Elantra in many ways.
