2025 Hyundai Palisade SUV Consumer Reviews

Best overall vehicle out of 12 differe test rides
The Hyundai palisade limited edition is what we ended up choosing. We base this on testing multiple SUVs from mid-size to third row , gradually eliminate them till we got to the final three. We took our time and did this over a one month period. We took in consideration price, warranty, reliability and reviews from Edmund cars.com. We tried both domestic and foreign cars. When looking at the prices and warranty included, other vehicles seem to be 5 to $12,000 more when including a $100,000 mile warranty. We also wanted a vehicle that would tow at least 3500 lbs. About the car, The ride is quiet and very comfortable. the information center is easy to access and simple. one of the things that most impressed us was the safety features that were included in it. The second roll captain seats are just like the front seats they can move forward and backwards up and down and recline. The back roll climate control is also nice. one feature that stuck out was the ability to use your car mike to talk to people in the backseat over the speakers. Grandkids sometimes claim they can't hear LOL. the power liftgate and back is nice because it has a no touch walk-up feature. with the third row seats up the space is adequate but with them down it's very good and you could easily pack for a nice camping trip. Mileage is a little better than it stated. Most of the other vehicles had four cylinders with turbos the palisade has a V6 engine which gets equal to or better mileage as the rest of the vehicles we looked at. Being naturally aspirated the the engine takes off a little slower but makes up for it at the higher ends. It is also very quiet. The vehicle has all-wheel drive and several driving options. We've gotten as high as 31 mpg on the highway usually 28 mpg and an average of about 24. The overall interior design and comfort is wonderful. Hyundai gave you the conveniences you need. We only put on about 2,000 MIles so far so I cannot testify on reliability of the vehicle other than what I know From research. looking at older vehicles that seem to hold their value well and finding a used one under 3 years old isn't easy. The areas I feel that Hyundai needs improvement. the space in the car doors is small and most vehicles have a spot for a drink in the car door. Another one is the app that connects your car to your phone. From what we can see if your car alarm goes off you will not know unless you walk up to your vehicle and then the lights will blink a few times. the alarm is pretty sensitive also. It would be nice to know if the vehicle alarm was triggered and even the location like some of the other vehicles we have. With the key fobs in the new vehicles, any previous theft problems appear to be fixed as it was one of our concerns. But Hyundai should take it a step further by including it on the app. We feel that they could offer a better selection of colors like some of them in their Santa Fe XRT line. We even considered the Xrt but it only had one trim option. If it had amore trims availible option . In the long run the palisade just was the best choice!

BEWARE!!!
BE WARNED!! We just bought a 2025 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Night edition, over $60k, brand new. After 4000 miles and just over 6 months we have a check engine light on. Turns out for the last ten + years many if not all car manufacturers have been using a protein-based wire coating that is like CANDY to rodents of all kinds. Checked under the hood and found a large rat munching away at the wires and totally destroyed 4 different harnesses. Repaired at Hyundai, over $5000 to replace damaged components. Saw another Palisade arrive in service for the exact same thing while we were there for. The service department just laughed and said, "Yah that is a problem", and just blew it off. During our purchase of this vehicle, no one even mentioned this glaring problem with their cars (yup, all Hyundai cars) and potential problems that may occur. It seems there is a class action lawsuit in progress about this very issue. Lived at the same place for over 40 years and NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM.

Undetermined with less than 2K miles
Wife got a Palisade Caligraphy and it currently has approx 1800 miles. Car is garage kept and hasn’t been driven for 2 weeks with winter precip. Weather got better so wife took car out. While she was out, multiple car sensors went off (change lane, rear cross traffic, side monitor, lane assist). No warnings on Bluelink and shows car in good health. Scheduled to go to dealer. Disappointing considering this is a new car.

Pain in Arse
I 74 and rode many vehicles. Had 1st lane keep etc experience early this yr in 23 santa Fe and like. Blue Cruise tried to kill me. 25 Santa Fe hybrid rode like skate so got Palisade. 600 miles seat killing me. Absolute worst seats ever. Tender spots on thighs and butt. Like riding on bag of rocks. And leather is stiff and hard. Lots of nice to vehicle but I can't stand the ride. There are days I can hardly sit in my favorite chair after a drive. Shopping for different after one payment.
