Who says this is strictly a young persons vehicle. I’m 78 and I love it. Very comfortable seats. Easy to get in and out of. Don’t need a ladder or a lift seat. Very comfortable and lots of control. Very safe vehicle that gives you lots of help seeing blind spots and warnings. It has lots of capabilities and all the power I will ever need. Great size to park easily and turning radius is very tight. Fits in my garage easily but has the capability of hauling a sheet of plywood. Looks great and even impresses my teenage grandkids. I just wish the 20 and 30 year olds would quit wanting me to race them. Love it.

I wasn't expecting this to be on my radar when I started looking for a new vehicle. I always liked having a truck in the past but the price of admission for both mid and full size trucks is crazy! Plus, I don't typically haul much but like the utility of a bed. I found the best of all worlds in my Santa Cruz. The performance is surprising, fun and it handles great! Safety features such as rear cross detection are appreciated and the lane assist takes some getting used to. Tech is great and connectivity is seamless. After about 2000 miles I am very happy with this purchase. The warranty is best in the industry as well. 4-29-2024: Just passed the one year mark with my Santa Cruz and I remain impressed. This vehicle proved reliable and performed great through a Northern Indiana winter. The all wheel drive gave me confidence to drive in snow and ice. Overall mileage is around 23 mpg but several trips have resulted in 27+. Also like the power from the engine when I want or need it. I have hauled a few things in the bed and will probably be getting a bed extender soon. Still very satisfied.

I love the ride and the height of the vehicle, Its smooth and quiet. This is not the typical truck ride. The vehicle has flash and style much better than any other truck. Inside is really nice and comfort. This vehicle is not the bulky plain truck truck. This is definitely an upscale in a truck look a like .No vehicle is perfect but this is real nice with great appearance. The features needed for a truck but a great feel as a SUV. No kidding this is very good and 5 years bumper to bumper try getting that on a Ford or Gm you can't. They did a great job with this suv/truck.

I love the ride of the Santa Cruz…doesn’t feel like I am in a truck! The bed of the Santa Cruz is small but adequate for my needs. Love the tonneau cover and the many safety features that are standard on this Hyundai.
Engine Knocking

cold start engine knocking started at approx 1150 miles. took to dealership and played video of the vehicle running and making the noise, they said "oh boy, that should not sound like that" we dropped if off and they had it for 25 days and claim they started it once and it did not make that noise. 2nd time we dropped it off they had it for 8 days, same thing, they say no problem. we took it to our local mechanic and he said it has a collapsed lifter. total of 33 days at dealer, and no loaner vehicle the entire time. we are now taking the appropriate steps against Hyundai
