2024 Jeep Wagoneer SUV Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer is a full-size three-row SUV that can accommodate up to eight passengers. It is available in four trim levels: the base Wagoneer, Series II, Series II Carbide and Series III. All trims get a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine (420 hp, 486 lb-ft) paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Keep reading for our editors' breakdown of the Wagoneer's most significant standard and optional features.

Wagoneer
The well-equipped base trim level starts you off with:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Standard rear-wheel drive or available four-wheel drive
  • Hands-free liftgate
  • Class IV tow hitch receiver
  • Keyless entry and ignition
  • 115-volt household-style power outlet
  • Three-zone climate control
  • Leather upholstery
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Driver's seat memory settings
  • Heated and power-adjustable steering wheel
  • Power-adjustable sliding and reclining second-row seats

In-cabin technology and driver assist features include:

  • Digital instrument panel
  • 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen
  • Navigation system
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (both with wireless connectivity)
  • Nine-speaker Alpine audio system
  • Forward collision warning with automatic braking (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
  • Front and rear parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)

The optional Convenience Group package enhances the base Wagoneer with:

  • Heated second-row seats
  • Second-row manual sunshades
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Lane keeping assistance (steers the Wagoneer back into its lane if it begins to drift over the lane marker)
  • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Wagoneer and the car in front)
  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
  • 360-degree surround-view system (uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single image of the car's surroundings)

Series II
Adds to the Wagoneer with:

  • 20-inch wheels
  • LED ambient cabin lighting
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Lane keeping assistance
  • Adaptive cruise control

The Series II has its own optional Convenience Group package. It includes the features added by the Series I's package, plus:

  • Head-up display
  • Front cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is about to cross your vehicle's forward path, such as when approaching an intersection)
  • Driver attention warning (issues an alert if sensors determine you are becoming fatigued)

Series II Carbide
Has the same features and options as the regular Series II but with:

  • Gloss black 20-inch wheels
  • Triple-pane panoramic sunroof
  • Dark exterior and interior accents
  • Reversible vinyl/carpeted floor mats

Series III
Is very similar to the Series II but has:

  • Standard four-wheel drive
  • Heated second-row seats

Key optional packages to look out for include:

Premium Group

  • 20-inch or 22-inch wheels
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Adjustable roof-rail crossbars
  • 19-speaker premium McIntosh sound system (Series III only)

Preferred Equipment Group (Series III only)

Flexible Seating Group (Series II and III only)

  • Heated and power-adjustable second-row captain's chairs (seven-passenger seating)
  • Power-reclining third-row seats

Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow package

  • 3.92 rear-axle ratio
  • Electronic limited-slip rear differential (helps maximize available traction when off-road or in slippery conditions)
  • Upgraded engine cooling
  • Integrated trailer brake controller (allows adjustment of a trailer's brakes from inside the vehicle)
  • Trailer hitch connection assistance

Which Wagoneer trim does Edmunds recommend?

We recommend the Series II trim as the best Wagoneer for value. While the base Wagoneer is impressively luxurious, it's missing a few driver assist features as standard equipment. You can get them as options but you might as well just get the Series II at that point.
