Trim level differences
Jeep offers the 2024 Wrangler 4xe in a four-door, or Unlimited, body style with a removable top. The 4xe's plug-in hybrid powertrain produces 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque and employs an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Powertrain modes include Hybrid, Electric and E-Save, and Jeep says you can recharge the battery in about 12 hours using a standard household outlet. The Wrangler 4xe comes in Sport, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, High Altitude and Rubicon X trim levels. The highlights of each follow below.

Which Wrangler we recommend depends on how serious you are about off-roading. If you're very serious then you might as well go all the way with the 4xe Rubicon, which comes with locking differentials, lower gearing, heavy-duty axles and 33-inch tires. If, however, you want a Wrangler for more civilized pursuits, the Sport S with the Convenience Group offers many amenities, such as 20-inch wheels, heated front seats and remote start. It costs quite a bit less than the Sahara and will still meet most people's off-roading needs.
