Used 2023 Kia EV6 SUV Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2023 Kia EV6 is a compact EV that is part crossover and part hatchback. The EV6 is sold in three trim levels: Wind, GT-Line and GT. All models draw power from a 77.4-kWh battery pack with different power outputs and drive configurations. Keep reading for our rundown of the EV6's power, range and features.

Wind and GT-Line

  • RWD: single electric rear-wheel-drive motor (225 horsepower, 258 lb-ft of torque)
  • AWD: adds a second motor up front (combined motor output: 320 hp, 446 lb-ft)
  • Battery pack: 77.4 kWh
  • EPA-estimated range: 310 miles (RWD) or 282 miles (AWD Wind) or 252 miles (AWD GT-Line)

GT

  • AWD only with more powerful dual motors (576 hp, 545 lb-ft)
  • EPA-estimated range: 206 miles

Wind
The entry-level Wind trim is well equipped with standard feature highlights that include::

  • 19-inch alloy wheels
  • Heated and power-folding mirrors
  • Hands-free liftgate
  • Keyless entry and start
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Rear air vents
  • Synthetic leather upholstery
  • Power-adjustable front seats
  • Driver's seat memory settings
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel and heated rear seats (AWD only)

The Wind also comes with:

  • Digital instrument panel
  • 12.3-inch touchscreen
  • Navigation system
  • 14-speaker Meridian premium audio system
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility
  • Front and second-row USB ports
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Vehicle-to-load (V2L) port (allows the EV6 to supply electricity to other items, such as portable camping gear or even other electric vehicles)
  • Heat pump (AWD only; heats the cabin more efficiently than normal heater)

Every EV6 also comes with a generous set of advanced driver assist features. These include:

  • Forward collision warning with automatic braking (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Kia and the car in front)
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
  • Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)
  • Front and rear parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)
  • Driver attention warning (issues an alert if sensors determine you are becoming fatigued)
  • Highway Driving Assist (Kia's enhanced lane keeping assistance and adaptive cruise control functionality)

Optional for the Wind AWD is the Technology package, which adds:

  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention. Can be used from outside the car via the key fob)
  • Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the EV6 and its surroundings for tight parking situations)
  • Blind-spot camera (displays an image of the vehicle's blind spot in the instrument panel when you activate a turn signal)
  • Rear automatic braking (applies the brakes automatically to avoid an imminent collision with an object behind the vehicle)

GT-Line
The GT-Line is positioned as the sporty EV6 model. It starts with Wind features and adds:

  • Technology package
  • Automatically deploying and retracting door handles
  • Sunroof
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • Automated lane-change assistance (guides the vehicle into the next lane when the turn signal is used)
  • Evasive steering assistance (enhances the forward collision warning system with steering-based collision avoidance)
  • Head-up display with augmented reality overlay (displays important information in your sight line on the windshield)
  • More advanced versions of the forward collision mitigation and adaptive cruise control systems

The GT-Line offers two packages that alter the seating upholstery. You can choose from synthetic leather seats with a synthetic suede trim or synthetic suede seats with a synthetic leather trim. You can also opt for 20-inch wheels if you get the AWD model.

GT
The new high-performance GT trim comes with a lot more power as well as:

  • 21-inch wheels
  • All-wheel drive
  • Sport-tuned suspension
  • Adaptive suspension dampers
  • Manually adjustable front seats
  • Faux suede and synthetic leather upholstery

Which EV6 trim does Edmunds recommend?

The entry-level Wind trim gets our recommendation in the EV6 lineup. It's already plenty powerful and quick for the majority of drivers. Shoppers in wet and snowy regions may want to add all-wheel drive for improved traction, while those who don't need it will enjoy the rear-wheel-drive version's longer range.
