We originally looked at the 2023 Honda CR-V hybrid and felt the engine was too noisy when asked to deliver power. We drove the SX Prestige hybrid and felt it was much more refined than the CR-V. We came to an agreement on the price but my wife wanted red. We told the dealer to give us a call when a red vehicle came in. This was in February, 2023. We forgot about the vehicle and then got a call at the end of June that a red SX Prestige hybrid came in. The call came on a Thursday and we were told to come in Saturday morning. The dealer showed us the vehicle and it was what we wanted. The mileage depends on how you drive the vehicle. My wife, it's her car, gets between 30 and 35 miles to a gallon, I get between 35 and 40 miles to a gallon. Considering we were getting about 22 miles to a gallon on the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport the Kia replaces. No gripes on gas mileage. This Kia is a pleasure to drive. It has enough power, it rides smooth and quiet and is very comfortable to sit in for long trips. Both my wife and I feel this rides more luxuriously than some luxury suvs we have been in. A friend of our just bought the top-of-the line 2023 Honda CR-V hybrid. He could not believe how much more equipment our Kia had. The Kia has 2 front seat back pockets, the Honda 1; The Kia has the cameras in the side mirrors, the Kia has the 360 degree camera and the Kia came with a spare tire. We found two minor shortcomings with the Kia. A homelink mirror is not standard. The memory seats are just that memory seats. They do not work with the outside mirrors. Overall we are very pleased with the Kia SX Prestige hybrid.

I Had been Shopping for a Hybrid for a few Month. It's not the best time to buy in this Economy but, I needed a New Car. I Tested Kia against Hyundai, Honda and Toyota. The Vehicle I ended up buying was the Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige in Dawning Red with Black Interior. Pros: Offers mostly everything you could want and some you would not think of. The Drive is Smooth and comfortable Seats Cradle you just fine and have the right amount of Support The Tech and safety features are top notch Audio (Harmon Kardon) is decent, only misses some low end thump. It's fine but, you are not going to be wow'd by the Sub Performance. The Hybrid Drivetrain is simply Amazing. You can't feel a switch between Motor/Engine. It's seamless just the way it should be. Cons: Well, not really cons... Just feels like a missed opportunity. No Auto-Fold Side view Mirrors No Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror No Sunglasses Holder. Over-all; I was truly very impressed by this Car and I was very lucky to Find the one I purchased. Not sure why but, The SX Models in NY are hard to find. I'll add that the Dual use Climate/Radio is NOT that hard!!! You get used to it pretty quickly and IF you use one set of functions more often than the other, you can Long press on the Specific key to set that mode as the default. Not sure why people complain about the Dual use.

2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid LX 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo gas/electric hybrid 6A)

The only mistake I made was not buying the EX instead of the LX. Still, the LX has many great features. I like that I can pick the sport mode or the eco-mode. Even the eco-mode has plenty of get up and go. The combination of both an engine and an electric motor seems the most economy-minded and earth-friendly way to drive. Gas mileage is very good. So far, I'm getting 35 -38 MPG. The stats say up to 42. The computer screen is 8" and seems plenty big enough to me, even though I've never had one before. One reviewer did say that controls are not placed as well as they could be. I'd say they are fine, considering there are soooo many! I've never flown a 747 before! I'd say the learning curve is a little steep right at first, but after a week or so, I feel pretty comfortable. Just get your teen son or daughter to help, especially if you're an oldster like me. But there are endless options and options within options. I'd say overall it's an excellent choice: a solid car that has all the modern conveniences. Except if you're used to keyless entry and push-button start, get the EX package instead. But actually, it doesn't bother me much not to have it. All the rest of the goodies make up for it. But of course my one big question was, can a 1.6 liter engine really have pep? Answer: Yes.

Love my K5, easy 30 mpg everyday on a trip I can hit 40. So I thought a Sportage Hybrid shoud at least be close. Well the Sportage is a great SUV with a super interior and a pleasing outside design, it is quiet, rides smooth and has all the needed safety features. I do like that the rear fold down seats can be reclined and when laid flat, lock down. Climate control combined with the radio, thought you could use to it. NO WAY!! My K5 has separate controls. The combined climate radio control is terrible. I would avoid this system at all costs I do not like your foot must be on the brake to change gears, that"s a pain! A big disappointment , to me, was seeing Goodyear Assurance tires. In all my years of driving Goodyear seems to wear quickly.dealer could switch, Basically I am somewhat pleased with this Sportage Hybird. If not for the gas mileage and combined radio controls it would be 5 Stars. On a trip from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls, cruise set to 75, 98% interstate roads. highways my average was 33 mpg going and 29 mpg coming home. well of the stated 38. I traded a 2021 Nissan Rouge AWD that averaged 26 everyday and 33 on a trip. Average highway speed 75/80. I hope the mpg can settle down, I was aware most reviews had the gas mileage as a drawback. Like I said if the mpg was close to the stated 38 ,it"a 5 Star easy!! The mpg has gotten worse in the timed I have owned it. I am very tempted to give it 3 stars ,Kia flopped on this one. Go get a Hyundai!

Had my new hybrid sportage a week now and couldn't be happier. I thought my 11 yr old Honda Crosstour was a great car but this Kia far exceeds it. I test drove the Honda CRV and really wanted to like it. Unfortunately it failed in every catagory. In addition to all the amazing tec, th Kia rode better and was quieter.
