Trim level differences
The 2024 Range Rover Velar is a small luxury SUV available in three trim levels: S, Dynamic SE and Dynamic HSE. Range Rover offers two powertrains in the Velar, dubbed P250 and P400. The P250 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (247 horsepower, 269 lb-ft) and is standard on the S and Dynamic SE models. The P400 powertrain is a turbocharged mild hybrid inline six-cylinder engine (395 hp, 405 lb-ft) that's optional on the Dynamic SE and standard on the top-level Dynamic HSE trim. Which Range Rover Velar trim does Edmunds recommend?
The Velar is available in a few flavors, and we suggest going with the midlevel Dynamic SE trim. It's not much more expensive than the base trim, and it's the only Velar trim available with either a four- or six-cylinder powertrain. If it were our vehicle, we'd spring for the optional Technology Pack and Dynamic Handling Pack.
