So far so good
I’m used to Lexus/Toyota hybrids. They are the best hybrids in the business. My last car was a 22 Lexus ES300h UL and it was great. The gas mileage over a year(bought in Nov 2021) was 44mpg with the best tanks(2 total) at 50mpg. That was a 10hr drive to Gatlinburg and back from PA. I’m usually around town driving so I couldn’t get it out of my head that if the car plugged in it would be even better. I thought a few months after I got the ES, most of my driving could be done in EV mode strictly, but I did not want a fully electric vehicle. I looked at the new NX450h+ and was told our area would not get them. So I gave up in mid summer 22. Well, come Nov 2022 my salesman shot me text first to tell me that someone backed out of a new 2022 NX450h+(luxury) with all the options. We were now getting plug-ins allocated to PA. I was very hesitant and had a ton of questions. I have a new ES and don’t need an another new car, but now I have a chance to test out the theory of driving around mostly in EV mode instead of hybrid mode all the time. I test drove the NX without any charge for about 30 mins. Then drove it again when it got dark out. I always had a car so an suv was all new to me, but I loved it once I drove it. I figured I’m not going to know if a plug-in will work unless I take the plunge and buy it. It’s a rare opportunity one becomes available. Traded my ES and it has been great. I can drive around in EV mode like I thought 90% of the time. The car now has 1500 miles in about 4 months and I have used the gas engine a few times here and there, but have yet to fill up since the day I brought it home. The run flat tires are my least favorite. At speed and with the engine on, to me it’s like my ES or any Lexus. The ES had more “acoustic” dampening in the firewall behind the engine, but honestly it’s no louder once you’re at speed. The NX is way faster and since I’m in EV mode most of the time it’s extremely quiet. You hear more tire noise since the other noises are kept at bad. I noticed that in the ES as well. Charging has been great and the EV range is within a few miles if not very close to what it reads out. I’m truly happy with my purchase. The NX has changed my mind about suvs.
I OWN THIS CAR! [non-permissible content removed]
Drives smoother and quieter than my 2021 RX 350. Phenomenal ride quality. Acceleration is buttery smooth. The bad: too complicated imho. Apple carplay only connects 1/2 the time for some reason? The Nav screen went blank once for an hour but came back after shutting car off for 10 minutes. The Park Asssist $200 option is a gimmick. Too slow to park, learning curve, and awkward. Don't need it. LOVE the car other than that though. Best car I've ever owned!!

Very fortunate to purchase!
Likes: -plug in hybrid -vehicle build quality, interior layout -practical vehicle for daily commuting and long distance trips -Toyota quality and not worrying as much about high maintenance costs like Tesla or German luxury ev/ehv. Dislike: -the price was a little high but I am fine with it.

Best Car!
This is the best city drive/ commute car! Comfortable, fast and quiet ride on ev mode. You can drive up to 43miles(full charge) on EV mode! Part of interior door panel is plastic panel. Lexus should change to other material for better looking.

Excellent Vehicle
The 450h is my first Lexus. After driving German cars for so long there was a bit of a learning curve. The tech is well thought out and fairly intuitive. The gas mileage and EV range are outstanding. It’s comfortable, quite and discrete. The only negative is the app but that will continue to improve.
