Trim level differences
When you shop for a new Mercedes EQB, you'll decide between the EQB 300 4Matic (225 horsepower, 288 lb-ft of torque) and the EQB 350 4Matic (288 hp, 384 lb-ft of torque). Each includes a dual-motor electric drivetrain, all-wheel drive, and a 66.5-kWh battery pack. Mercedes says it takes 32 minutes to recharge the battery from 10% to 80% while using a DC fast charger that provides 100 kW of power. Using a 9.6-kW 240-volt home charging station, you can recharge the EQB overnight. Once you select a model, you'll choose from Premium, Exclusive and Pinnacle trim levels. Which EQB trim does Edmunds recommend?
Choosing between the two EQB models comes down to price, driving range and performance. You'll lose a full second in the run to 60 mph, but we think the entry-level EQB 300 4Matic is the way to go. You'll get an additional 16 miles on a battery charge, and you'll save thousands you can apply toward the Pinnacle trim, which upgrades the SUV with a panoramic glass roof, a surround-view camera and a Burmester premium surround-sound system.
