Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan Trims Comparison

The 450+ comes with a single electric motor powering the rear wheels. It produces 329 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. The 580 4Matic has dual motors and all-wheel drive that combine to produce 516 hp and 631 lb-ft. The AMG EQS uses the same powertrain but boosts power to 649 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque. This version also features a Race Start launch control mode, which temporarily increases output to 751 hp and 752 lb-ft. All models use a 108-kWh battery pack.

The EPA estimates that the 450+ can drive about 350 miles on a fully charged battery, which is impressive for an EV. Even better, we exceeded that estimate in our real-world range testing, driving a total of 422 miles. The 580 4Matic has a bit less range; the EPA says it will travel 340 miles on a charge, but we've achieved 381 miles. The EPA had not provided an estimate for the AMG EQS at the time of this review's publication.

Mercedes offers three trim levels for the EQS: Premium, Exclusive and Pinnacle. There's also a limited-production Edition One version of the EQS 580. 

Premium
Highlight features for this base trim include:

• Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the EQS and its surroundings for tight parking situations)
• Lane keeping assist (steers the EQS back into its lane if it begins to drift over the lane marker)
• Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert (warns you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
• Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
• Evasive steering assist (enhances the forward collision mitigation system with steering-based collision avoidance)

Exclusive
The Exclusive includes all of the Premium's features, adding:
