2025 Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class SUV Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLB is a five-seat small luxury SUV. An optional third-row seat adds seating for two child-size passengers. Three versions of the GLB are available: GLB 250, GLB 250 4Matic and AMG GLB 35.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (221 horsepower, 258 lb-ft of torque) assisted by a mild hybrid system powers the GLB 250 and GLB 250 4Matic. Both models use an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The GLB 250 routes torque to the front wheels, while the GLB 250 4Matic uses an all-wheel-drive system. The AMG GLB 35 is powered by a performance version of the GLB 250 4Matic's powertrain that produces 302 hp and 295 lb-ft. Standard equipment highlights include:

GLB 250
Every GLB 250 comes equipped with:

  • 18-inch wheels

Standard advanced driver aids include:

  • Forward collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Blind-spot warning (alerts you if a vehicle in the next lane over is in your blind spot)
  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
  • Safe exit assist (can prevent passengers from opening a door into traffic approaching from behind)
  • Parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)
  • Driver attention warning (issues an alert if sensors determine you are becoming fatigued)
  • Automatic high beams

GLB 250 4Matic
Includes the same features as the GLB 250 but adds all-wheel drive.

Which GLB-Class trim does Edmunds recommend?

The GLB is available in regular and performance trim levels. We recommend the regular GLB 250 or GLB 250 4Matic (if you need all-wheel drive) for most shoppers. It comes well equipped with a long list of standard features and offers several option packages. The AMG GLB 35 performance model is for those who have the budget for a sportier and more powerful GLB.
