Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Coupe SUV Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is a compact luxury SUV available in GLC 300 4Matic and AMG GLC 43 trims. The AMG version is more powerful and agile thanks to a larger engine and sport-oriented suspension, but otherwise both trims offer similar features and options. Both also include all-wheel drive as standard equipment. The V8-powered AMG GLC 63 Coupe will not be available for 2023.

GLC 300 4Matic
The GLC 300 4Matic Coupe comes with standard features that include:

  • Turbocharged four-cylinder engine (255 horsepower, 273 lb-ft of torque)
  • Nine-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles
  • 19-inch wheels
  • LED headlights
  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Heated windshield washer jets
  • Power-folding side mirrors
  • Sunroof

The GLC 300 4Matic also includes multiple safety-related technologies:

  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Forward collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
  • Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the GLC Coupe and its surroundings for tight parking situations)
  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)

AMG GLC 43
Tuned for performance, the AMG GLC 43 Coupe adds:

  • Turbocharged V6 engine (385 hp, 384 lb-ft)
  • Performance-tuned transmission and all-wheel-drive system
  • Sport-tuned suspension, brake and exhaust systems

  • Driver Assistance package
    • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Mercedes and the car in front)
    • Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)
    • Lane change assistance (can initiate and execute a lane charge automatically after activating the turn signal for a certain length of time)
    • Blind-spot intervention (automatically steers the car back into its lane if you try to change lanes while a car is in the vehicle's blind spot)
    • Evasive steering assistance (enhances the forward collision mitigation system with steering-based collision avoidance)

Additionally, GLC Coupes offer an array of stand-alone options, including:

  • Sport exhaust system
  • Driver-selectable transmission, suspension and stability control settings
  • Performance data recorder

Which GLC-Class Coupe trim does Edmunds recommend?

The V6-powered AMG GLC 43 Coupe is fun and entertaining, but the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe is the better value. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers satisfying acceleration, and with your savings you can add extras such as AMG styling, leather seats, premium Burmester audio, navigation, and a bundle of driver assistance features and still come out well ahead.
