The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is available in six trim levels: S, ES, LE, Trail Edition, SE and SEL. All but the SEL are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (148 horsepower, 145 lb-ft of torque). The SEL receives a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine (168 hp, 167 lb-ft). Both engines come paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive is standard on all models.

Since all-wheel drive is standard on every Outlander Sport, your only significant powertrain choice requires that you spring for the top-level SEL trim. But we don't think it's worth it.
