1999.5 Nissan Pathfinder LE
Very happy with the Pathfinder. Currently has 313,000kms and purchased it with about 260,000. I've had it for about 3 years. Before this I drove a 2010 Subaru Impreza, a good car, but I prefer driving this older Pathfinder more. It's very reliable even the exhaust is original. The struts did need replacing.
I Love my 1999 Nissan Pathfinder
My 1999 Path Finder is the second SUV I owned I had a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and the transmission died on me after 6 months of owning that Jeep with only 80,000 miles on it. I absolutely love my Pathfinder I purchased it with 157,000 miles on it already and it still runs strong and starts up realiably every morning and has not failed me yet like that Jeep has.

Reliable SUV
This has been a reliable SUV for us. Poor gas mileage has made us trade in our other car to get one with higher gas mileage. The Pathfinder drives more like a truck due to the noise of the motor and low HP. The only two problems we have had are as follows: O2 sensor went out, and the gas tank door broke. Other than that it has been a reliable car. The leather isn't that nice and the display is kind of dated, but what do you expect from a 1999. We don't like the new Pathfinders, so we will probably trade in for a different SUV.
Hardy Value
I bought the Pathfinder after my extensive research found Pathfinder has bulletproof reliability, good off- road capability, and ample towing capacity. Also, our past Nissan vehicles have been long lasting, trouble-free vehicles (we got 180,000+ miles on our 240SX!). With our Pathfinder, we've put many enjoyable miles (e.g., highway, around town, and offroad) on the Pathfinder...it's roomy, rides well on the highway, and can fit all our luggage plus cart around the family. Overall, we appreciate this versatile, comfortable and rugged vehicle!
Real nice suv
I purchased this vehicle in july of 1999. It has been the most reliable automobile I have ever owned. After breaking it in I changed to Mobil 1 motor oil, got two more MPG and it has been and outstanding dependable SUV. The car has never seen the dealership for any warrantee or recalls. That is how much you can count on this car everyday. Just turn the key and no matter the weather (4X4) your on you way. Now some six years old, these SUVs are great for college students. Offering plenty of room, not bad MPG 18-20, and a strong truck frame & body to protect your young drivers. What would you like to see you student driving? A small Civic or a REAL SOLID TRUCK? Sometimes bigger is better.
