2025 Porsche 718 Cayman Coupe Trims Comparison

The base Cayman and Style Edition are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four engine that produces 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The Cayman S has a 2.5-liter turbo flat-four good for 350 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque. Both of these come standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (known as PDK), but a six-speed manual transmission is a no-cost option.

The GTS 4.0, as the name suggests, has a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine. It produces 394 horsepower, but torque differs by transmission. There's 317 lb-ft with the standard PDK and 309 lb-ft with the no-cost manual.

The GT4 RS is a hardcore track weapon with a 4.0-liter flat-six that produces 493 hp and 331 lb-ft. It comes only with the PDK automatic.

Feature content on the base 718 Cayman includes:

Beyond its more powerful engine, the Cayman S builds upon the base Cayman with features that include:

The 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 is a much different car thanks to its unique engine and additional upgrades, such as:

• 20-inch black wheels with colored Porsche crest
• Lowered adaptive suspension
• Mechanical locking differential
• Additional drive modes
• Launch control
• Sport seats with greater bolstering
• GT Sport steering wheel in synthetic suede

There are no standard driver assist features, and only two are available as stand-alone options. These are:

• Blind-spot warning (alerts you if a vehicle in the next lane over is in your blind spot)
• Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Porsche and the car in front; PDK-equipped models only)

718 Cayman GT4 RS
This intense track-ready version goes far beyond "just" a more powerful engine fed through an extra pair of intakes just behind your ear. Its extras and upgrades beyond the GTS 4.0 include:

• Lightweight carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) hood and fenders
• Extensive aerodynamic enhancements including CFRP rear wing

• Fabric door pulls
• Carbon-fiber or body-painted interior trim

The GT4 RS doesn't offer any driver assist systems.

Like every Porsche, there is an extensive list of optional upgrades, many of which reside in the style customization realm. Some of the performance upgrades of more expensive models are available on the Cayman and Cayman S, as are various comfort, convenience and infotainment upgrades.
