Some nice upgrades
The 2024 Cayenne is beautiful. The upgrades make it more user friendly and easier to see what is on the side of you. UPDATE: I should have looked closer at online reviews before the purchase because I had chassis failure, ABS failure, PSM failure and several other failure indicator lights on the vehicle when it was a couple of months old. It went in for repairs and they were unsuccessful. The vehicle was in for over two months and they thought it was repaired. It seems that the dealerships diagnostics cannot detect the issue (s) and engineers from Germany are trying to assist with fixing these vehicles. I was surprised to see other owners reported experiencing the same defects and they either did not report fixes or the repairs were very different to solve the same issues. This was a bad purchase. Hopefully Porsche can find a fix and I noticed there are several 2024 Cayennes with very low mileage on the Internet for sale and it makes me wonder if the owners also hd these issues and are getting rid of them.
Frustrated - rear window seal
I ordered a 2024 Cayenne S in August of 2023 to replace a 2011 BMW X5d. Took delivery in Dec 2023. Pretty awesome vehicle - performance, technology, looks. While the technology is impressive, it takes a while (and two orientation visits) to get the hang of it, especially coming from a 2011 vehicle. Here's my big problem - the rear window seal. After a few months it began to pucker inward along the bottom edge with the seal edges pulling away from the glass and lift gate. It got progressively worse. So the dealer took it back and replaced the the seal (also had to replace the glass I guess). It took several weeks - a bit frustrating. Well here it is about 6 months later and the problem has recurred and is even worse than before. Supposedly it doesn't compromise the water seal but it is very unsightly. I contacted the dealer and they said it appears to be a problem with this model year (I looked a a couple older Cayennes around me and didn't see the prob). Presently there is no fix yet. For $130K I expect much better. If I'd known this was a problem, I wouldn't have taken delivery. Not sure what I am going to do. I guess I'll engage an attorney and see if I can get my money back.

The 2024 Cayenne S Coupe new Twin Turbo V8 + more
Awesome. Had it 6 weeks now including one long road trip. In 2024 Porsche made many performance and tech enhancements to the S Coupe. More advanced tech than previous years. The S Coupe is a big performance upgrade to the 2024 base model. New Twin Turbo V8, standard performance braking and performance suspension. In addition to "normal" driving mode it comes with "Sport" and "Sport Plus" which change the engine, transmission and suspension. Handling is great. Smooth ride with almost zero body roll per Car and Driver and I agree. Don't be intimidated by the high-tech features it is easy to use and powerful.

Poor quality for a 100k car
The adaptive cruise control system suddenly stopped working, the dealer fixed it under warranty. 7 days later it stopped working again for no reason. There is no regular cruise control function available when the ACC is not working, which means you cannot set a fixed speed driving on the highway, very annoying. I cannot believe how poor the design and quality it is. I would never buy a Porsche again.

Connected
I've wanted to own a Porsche for well over 25 years and finally ponied up and ordered a 2024 Cayenne base. I wasn't able to find a "stripped" down version on any lot in the US so I configured a base with premium plus package, heated steering wheel and sport chronograph. I worked with all 5 Houston area dealers and none were willing to give me their allocation for a Cayenne w a MSRP below $100K. I finally pleaded with the GM of my most local dealer and asked if he'd order my specific build code. The GM did provide the 2nd year maintenance and ceramic tint on 2 front doors gratis, which is great. After 5 months of waiting, with great updates on the MyPorsche app, it finally arrived. The Montego Blue Metallic did not disappoint, it's simply beautiful. I feel totally connected to the Porsche when driving it; to the road, engine HP, and PCM electronics. The ergonomics are fantastic. I don't consider my vehicle stripped at all, but most Cayenne's on the lot have special order rims / tires, interior, soft close doors, paint, etc, that add over $25K to the MSRP. I'm happy with the base rims, black leather interior w cooled seats, and the base doors close just fine. I've read some poor reviews on Cayenne's and was a bit concerned but after 3 months and 1,000 miles I have no problems or worries. The vehicle has great performance and handling. I was concerned with the transmission "selector" being on the dash but it was easy to get used to. The cargo area is great and my road bike fits great in there. I did order "weather tech" type floor and cargo mats as the factory mats are not very robust. I also bought after-market puddle lamps and installed them on all 4-doors. I must add that the front license plate is not practical so I opted out of mounting, per the dealers recommendation. The plate gets in the way of the auto-parking sensors and looks out of place, so mine's in the glove box for now. Another surprise is I've averaged over 21 MPG to date. I have been over 100 MPH several times so am pleased w the performance and fuel economy. Bottom line is I don't think I'll own another brand vehicle again, Porsche for me.
