Engine light is on more than a Christmas tree!
My first truck, drove it off the lot with 57 miles on odometer, 12 hours later the check engine light was on. The light has come on six times now. Can shaft position sensor has been the only repeat code. Stellantis engineers recommended a software upgrade. It didn’t help, I see by other reviews that the cam shaft position sensor has been an issue for others. Other issues include passenger heated seat not working. Replaced relay switch, which didn’t help, so now they replaced the seat wiring. Also, 12 inch touchscreen was unresponsive and had to be replaced. The ride is great but the tech problems have me planning on pursuing the MN state lemon law and seek a refund. This was a very poor choice on my part.

2025 RAM 1500 Laramie Crew
My brand new (have owned it for 72 days now) RAM 1500 has now spent 32 days in the shop at the dealer. The engine light has come on eleven different times, codes including a three way cooling valve and cam position sensor. Dealer says all is good. The truck also had to be towed in one of the times because it would not start. Two days ago I received a notice for a recall related to the throttle body. The truck has less than 1000 miles on it. I do like the SST engine, the interior is the most comfortable and best looking compared to Ford GM and Toyota, in my opinion, however so far this brand new truck has been a nightmare.

Engine light issue - Don't buy or lease
I recently leased 2025 Hurricane S.O Big Horn. 400 miles in and then engine light came on. I went online and found out these new 2025 models are plagued with CEL issue and no one has clue how to fix it. Here is the link https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/2025-ram-1500-bighorn-3-0-i-hurricane-twin-turbo-so-420hp-check-engine-light.60378/ Stellantis is quiet about this issue. Don't lease these new 2025 models until they have a fix.

New RAM owner after two Tundras
Had been a Tundra owner for 13 years. Traded my TRD Pro for a 2025 RAM 1500 Bighorn Blacktop package 4x4. This is the best riding truck I've ever been in! Regular 3.6L mild hybrid has plenty of power. I kept my last Tundra 10 years because I never found anything even close that was comparable and affordable. This package is loaded. Runs great, looks great, has tons of storage and the seats are really comfortable. I'm 6'6", so legroom is always an issue. The redesigned 2025 cab made it possible to get in comfortably and I can also get in the back seat with the crew cab with no problem. Getting 20-21 mpg with only 3500 miles on it so far. I looked at a Silverado, Titan, Sierra, Ridgeline, Tundra and Tacoma. This was by far the best of the bunch.

Wow, what a truck!
I just picked up a 2025 1500 to replace an older Ram pickup. I got the new 3.0L Hurricane, Bighorn, 4x4, loaded up with the Level 2 package, night edition, a few other minor goodies and the air suspension. All I can say is this is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. It is very quiet, smooth and comfortable on the road. The engine is quiet but powerful as you out your foot into it. This feels smoother and not as clunky as the Hemi 5.7 did. The old engine sort of wheezed its way forward, but the Hurricane just keeps pulling hard. The Alpine stereo rocks, the tech inside all works and is easy to use and learn. Wow, wow, wow. Update - I have 10,000 problem free miles now. I really enjoy driving around knowing that I can beat pretty much every truck I see. This this is incredibly fast. :)
