This is my first STI; I had two WRXs before this. My only complaint is when it is in Sport mode it can be difficult to get into first gear...and this from a person who has been driving stick for more than 3 decades. Other than that, fun car, a real looker! Update - have now had car for 6 months - love it even more. Clutch has loosened up; first gear in Sport Mode a lot easier. Have tried Sport Sharp mode a few times - hard to find open roads where I live but when I am in it car has power to spare! Glad I bought this car - lots of fun! Update - One Year review - still love this car; very glad I bought it. Due to the stiff suspension, it can be a little rough on rough roads, but I sort of expected that. Doesn't change my mind about the car, and still makes a great daily driver. Update - 18 month review - still love the car.

Okay so the car is fun don’t get me wrong. That’s said I’ve had two ongoing issues that Subaru refuses to fix. I’ve owned the car for two months and have 2,800 miles on it. I’ve now dealt with two different dealerships both confirming that these are definitely issues that should be fixed however Subaru is claiming these issues as normal. The front passenger seat rattles continuously. It’s loud and constant. The dealerships have told me the seat frame needs to be replaced, $400 part, and Subaru is saying the rattle is normal and will not cover the cost. The clutch pedal makes a loud noise every time you step on it and I’m told this is normal wear and tear. I’ve been trying to get a hold of Subaru corporate for a week with no return calls. My first Subaru and definitely my last.
