2025 Tesla Cybertruck Crew Cab Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2025 Tesla Cybertruck is currently available in dual-motor All-Wheel Drive and tri-motor Cyberbeast models. A less expensive single-motor Rear-Wheel Drive version will likely be available sometime in 2025. Tesla says the All-Wheel Drive model produces 600 horsepower and can travel 325 miles on a full charge with all-season tires and 314 miles with all-terrain tires. The all-wheel-drive Cyberbeast is rated at 845 hp and has a range of 320 miles with all-season tires and 301 miles with all-terrain tires. Note that Tesla's over-the-air software updates can change power and range figures as well as features.

Since the Cybertruck's debut, Tesla has promoted a forthcoming optional bed-mounted range-extender battery that promises to boost range to more than 445 miles on the All-Wheel Drive model. However, it's unclear at the time of our review when (or even if) this battery will become available.

All-Wheel Drive
Notable standard features include:

  • 20-inch wheels
  • Adaptive air suspension (can raise or lower the ride height of the vehicle)
  • Adaptive steering (adjusts the steering wheel's responsiveness to enhance low-speed maneuverability and high-speed stability)
  • Rear-wheel steering (improves vehicle maneuverability)
  • Locking front and rear differentials (maximize available traction during off-roading)
  • Full-length glass roof
  • Retractable cargo cover
  • Synthetic leather upholstery
  • Front and rear heated seats
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Heated and power-adjustable steering wheel
  • 18.5-inch front touchscreen
  • 9.4-inch rear touchscreen
  • 15-speaker sound system
  • Dual wireless smartphone charging pads
  • Integrated audio, video streaming and gaming services (requires subscription)
  • Drive recorder (records the Cybertruck's surroundings while driving, which can be reviewed at a later time)

The Cybertruck also comes with a comprehensive bundle of driver assist features including:

  • Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection (warns if a front impact is imminent and applies the brakes if you don't respond in time)
  • Rear automatic braking (applies the brakes automatically to avoid an imminent collision with an object behind the vehicle)
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
  • Blind-spot camera (displays an image of the vehicle's blind spot in the touchscreen when you activate a turn signal)
  • Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)
  • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Cybertruck and the car in front)
  • Parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)
  • Autopilot (combines adaptive cruise control and lane keeping)

Cyberbeast
Besides the more powerful tri-motor powertrain, the top Cyberbeast adds:

  • Launch mode
  • Rear torque vectoring (for improved traction)
  • Upgraded interior materials
  • Laser-etched Cerberus badge

The optional Full Self-Driving (Supervised) driver assist package adds:

  • Navigation-based hands-free steering assistance (driver still has to pay attention and be ready to take control)
  • Ability to slow down and stop for traffic lights and stop signs
  • Active monitoring and avoidance of pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles
  • Automated parking system (steers in and out of a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
  • Automated lane change assistance (guides the vehicle into the next lane when the turn signal is used)
  • Driver attention warning (issues an alert if the driver-facing camera determines you are becoming fatigued or aren't paying attention)

Which Cybertruck trim does Edmunds recommend?

The All-Wheel Drive model is the way to go for now. It is plenty quick and can go more than 300 miles on a full charge. The money you save on not buying a Cyberbeast can be put toward the optional Full Self-Driving driver assist package or the range-extender battery pack.
