2025 Tesla Model 3 Sedan Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2025 Tesla Model 3 is an all-electric sedan that's initially available in two trim levels: Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range All-Wheel Drive and Performance. Keep reading for a rundown of the key features you get on the Model 3.

Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive
This de facto base model comes standard with:

  • Rear-wheel drive
  • 250-kW max charging rate
  • 18-inch wheels
  • Ambient cabin lighting
  • Synthetic leather upholstery
  • Panoramic glass roof
  • Keyless entry and start
  • Power-adjustable front seats
  • Heated front and rear seats
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel

Tech features for the base Model 3 include:

  • Wireless charging for two smartphones
  • Two rear USB ports
  • 15.4-inch touchscreen with navigation
  • 8-inch touchscreen for rear passengers
  • 17-speaker premium sound system
  • Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Integrated audio, video streaming and gaming services (requires subscription)
  • Tesla's Autopilot, a suite of advanced driver aids that include:
    • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Model 3 and the car in front)
    • Forward collision warning with automatic braking (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
    • Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)

Long Range All-Wheel Drive
Adds another electric motor for all-wheel-drive traction and loses a bit of range but is otherwise equipped the same as the RWD model.

Performance
Loses a bit of overall range when compared with the Long Range model on which it's based but gains performance with:

  • Dual motors making an estimated 510 horsepower
  • Adaptive sport-tuned suspension
  • Larger brakes
  • 20-inch forged aluminum wheels
  • Carbon-fiber spoiler
  • Sport bucket seats
  • Carbon-fiber interior trim

Available on all Model 3 trims, Full-Self Driving (Supervised) adds:

  • Navigation-based hands-free steering assist (driver still has to pay attention and be ready to take control)
  • Ability to slow down and stop for traffic lights and stop signs
  • Active monitoring and avoidance of pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles

Which Model 3 trim does Edmunds recommend?

With virtually no changes made for 2025, we still think the Model 3 Long Range is the best one to get. You not only get extra range over the base model, but you also get a higher maximum charging rate, quicker acceleration and a solid audio system. If you live where frequent foul weather is a concern, the Long Range All-Wheel Drive model may be worth the extra investment.
