Missing my CD player, but the headlights-Amazing!

2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hydrid XSE Purchased 8/10/24 It took me 3 weeks to find a cross hybrid due to I wanted the Barcelona Red and wanted the liftgate package. And when I did, that was the first time I test drove one and really didn't need to, as I watched so many reviews on you tube. I owned a brand new 2016 Prius 4, for 2 years, and I missed that car. The parents thought it was too small so I traded it in for a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson. What a regretful mistake. I've missed being part of the Toyota family ever since. Now for my review; I feel very empty not having a CD player. I'm in my 50's and I understand this young generation is all about streaming, but I wish it was an option instead of no option. It makes me miss my 2002 Toyota Highlander that had a 6 CD changer!! I wish there was more storage space to put my lip gloss, reading glasses, a pen & small note pad to track my mileage. I have to use the cup holders for these items. I was surprised the cup holders do not have something to grip your cup or bottled water steady. What happened there Toyota? The car cost 40k! Other than that, I really love driving this car. And happy they added the sun visor extensions. The 2016 Prius did not have that. The "check the back seat" notification after I turn off the car is annoying when you don't have kids but have a large lunch bag hanging in the back seat. The headlights on this car are soooo amazing!!! My 2015 Hyundai (which was my trade-in) headlights were so bad I stopped driving at night. I love driving at night now. I have the adaptive headlights as well. The phone charger is a super convenient feature when i travel to the bay area to visit friends. The salesman told me the mirror did not have a garage door open feature for my home, but i found that the homelink mirror does. If it wasn't for you tube, I'd be at a loss with all the features in my new car. It is pricey, but I couldn't afford the RAV 4. I love that I have 2 years of Maintenance and a 10 year warranty on the the battery. I am getting used to and familar with the apple play, which I was afraid of and why I held off from buying a new car for so long. I'm happy I waited :) I am used to having navigation. The apple maps seem to work fine for now. I might try a month subscription of the Nav later. The Safety features helped save me money on my car insurance. I couldn't believe my insurance was cheaper for a brand new car! The lift gate makes me feel like i have a luxury car. Only other thing is there is a dash cam shown as an option to buy for this vehicle, but the dealers don't seem to carry these for me to buy it.

1,000 miles in two weeks 🤦🏼‍♂️

I picked up my car and instantly felt eager to drive it. Then volunteered to pickup up needed items for the teaching I do and had to drive them across two states… The CCH is a great little car that drives well and can definitely get out of its own way. It does get a little buzzy when the gas engine is pushed for acceleration, but the hybrid system is phenomenal. Highway driving when only on electric is an absolute dream. Highly recommended.

We just purchased our Cross. We went to the dealership to test drive a Camry and an Prius. Our little beauty was parked right next to the row of Camrys. We are in our 60’s and getting into or out either sedan was very cumbersome. The driving position in the Cross is nearly perfect. We traded out 2015 Prius V. I wish now that I had looked more carefully at the interior storage (rather serious lack thereof) before deciding on the switch. The Prius V has SO MUCH more storage space than the Cross! After emptying out my and stowing a few things in the tiny glove box and minuscule center console, I had three bags of stuff that had been tucked neatly away. Now, I’m left to consider replacing the useless foam brick under the cargo floor with either the spare tire that Toyota has deleted or with additional storage.

Part availability poor

Car is ok, I found my Prius of better quality all around. Consider that this car has very poor parts availability. I was in an accident almost two months ago and the car is still at the body shop sitting waiting for parts with no estimate given. Great gas mileage but otherwise, meh.

Why no spare tire? Major design flaw!

Other than the lack of a spare, it's been a great little car. My wife loves it.
