It works I guess
It's a great size and I like the LE AWD trim package, it has everything I needed. I have had some issues though six months into owning it. The door seals are great and have an occasional whistle. It has no guts to accelerate from a stop or from speed so passing is iffy. When I picked it up a blindside detector chip had blown and needed replacing and now the fuel sending unit is blown too. Both covered under warranty but not things I expected.
The new 2023 SUV in my garage
This is one of the more affordable small SUV's on the market and hopefully it will retain its' value. It provides a nice ride and easy handling. The rear compartment is ample but leg room for rear passengers is a little less so. There is no rear window wash or wiper! The windows are not tinted; that bothers my grandchildren & myself on sunny days. You can open this vehicle with your key fob but you have to press the buttons, it doesn't automatically open if the fob is nearby. It does not have a powerful engine, so it will take time to get up to speed. It's easier to connect to your phone if you own an Apple phone. You will need to download APPs to use the phone and radio.

Battle of the crossovers
It's good enough to get on the highway and does excellent at highway speeds. Yes it is a tad slow to get to 60, however how often will you have an open track straight to a highway without dealing with some form of traffic anyways. It has the best in safety and so far there have been no recalls. I have the Cross LE which is recommended by Edmonds and I love it!!! This vehicle was built for fuel economy and safety so still be surprised at what you pay at the pump. I left Nissan for Toyota and couldn't have been happier!!!! If you have the money then upgrade and get a Mazda CX-5 or 30. If you want reliability for the next 20 years trouble free well remember this was modeled after the Corolla which is the best selling vehicle out there and a Toyota brand. Also stay away from the dealerships right now!!!!!

Great intro Car if you leaning towards Crossovers
Overall, Edmund's is spot on with their review of the car. My wife and i decided to go with the LE, Red/with Sunroof Option. It was only a two week wait, so it was worth it. XLE was tempting but dealers are milking the unwanted extras hard and forcing you to pay way over cost, so the LE was our best bet. Overall, my wife loves the car and for her it feels luxurious compared to her 2018 Volkswagon Jetta. The interior is nice, but does indeed feel a bit dated, as does the back camera, and the touch screen. I can tell where they cut corners, so if you can live with that its not a big deal. The Engine is a bit overly noisy too. Some nice things, the ride is smooth and punchy. Lane assist is really helpful, cargo room is good for what you get. We alsos love that the LE gives you AC vents for the front and back. Apple Car play is great and intuitive. Nice amount of USB ports. One in front and two in the back. I am really happy with the Q wireless charging as well. This is important as being able to charge your phone wirelessly in an emergency is vital. 6 Speakers sound great, especially If you dig electronic dance music like I do. Bass sounds great and high mid range. But it has its limits. Go too loud, and you can start to hear it struggle a bit. My wife's one issue is that she feels the car is controlling!😉 it has a number of saftey features that keep you in line, even when you park. It is always beeping at her! I think its great, because i know how she drives and she needs it! She does adore the sun roof and it was worth the extra 950, which we think is a fair upgrade Price. Overall, it is a nice car and a great value and serves well as a mid high end commuter car. It will not rock your socks but its reliable. I do hope one day Toyota will take a playbook from Mazda and give more trim and feature options beyond Mazda CX 30 has over 8 different variations, giving customers a nice range to fit ones style and wallet. A Carbon Edition Toyota would be sweet, but alas will never happen probably. Oh well! Overall, we are pleased!

Engine start/stop malfunction
These cars have a engine start/stop malfunction that causes the wheel to lock and you are not able to move the car. Upon further research it has something to due with a glitch when the windshield wipers are on at the same time you use the stop engine function. Several people have has this problem over a year and toyota is still selling these cars even though it’s a huge safety concern. I was stuck in the middle lane on a road with a 50mph speed limit. Luckily with my hazards on people payed attention and went around. The warning reads “low steering power” then says to “press brake firmly to restart”. That does not work. You have to put the car in park wherever your stuck and press the break with the car start button a couple times. I have filed a safety report NHTSA. The service at the dealership is obviously aware since they specifically asked me if it was raining while this occurred. I emailed my sales person who simply replied to “make a service appointment” as if they are’nt aware of the issue and have not been able to fix it for a year! I cannot believe they are still selling these cars. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! Im so disappointed. I had a bad experience with a ford dealership and went to toyota hoping to get a reliable low maintenance car. Ive only had it a month:( UPDATE: I’m still having this problem. I’m working with a lemon lawyer to get it sorted out. Also, the car has a driver’s side airbag recall with no remedy going on 3 months now.
